If you think about it avoiding a map that you aren't good on would be better for a player than just trying to brute force it onto them, it's the same reason why vct teams are allowed to ban maps they aren't good on in the first place and also this way will just prevent people from dodging the map instead.

Ranked is supposed to be "fun" and both playing a map you aren't good on and having constant dodges on maps like fracture doesn't make it any better. Plus they still need to deal with the other 6 maps in the rotation so you still need to be good on 6 maps.

Lowk riot should add it where you can ban 1 map in the map rotation that you will never have to play. It would reduce the amount of q dodges by a ton and if there was a shit ass map like sunset before changes then riot would know they fucked up and would try to quickly make changes. Would also just make the quality of playing better because I know that some people like all of the maps expect for 1 and would just immediately dodge if they get it.

Realistically they CAN make it onto a tier 2 team but there would probably be no reason to, they would get paid less than they currently do and they probably wouldn't make it onto a good team (other teams have way better options than them). However none are getting onto a tier 1 team because there's just so many better options.

TL literally got a free pass into playoffs then they went 1-2.
FUT was not even a top 10 team at champs and only got into playoffs through beating the pacific third seed twice.

None of these teams were close to FNC or even a top 10 team in the world.

5th-6th place is no where close to the "top level at least placement wise" to 1st and 2nd.

KC got eliminated in the swiss stage of madrid (not a really good showing from the #1 seed of EMEA) and then never showed up to an event ever again.
Once again FNC got a free pass to playoffs at Shanghai then bombed out 0-2 and getting 5th-6th at champs is a pretty good showing but no anywhere close to a top 5 team or close to TH.

Like if you watch any pro vct game the entire team can be gooning in one part of the map and the lurk player will still be lurking and trying to get space. These low elo players really think that if the duelist isn't entrying then the game just shuts down for them like if you play basically any character you can still walk around the map and try to get some space at least if your duelist isn't entrying.
