At least in 2022 and 2023 (idk about 2021 cause I didn't watch it) I would argue Champs was the most competitive tournament in that year so I view it as being more impressive to win

Using regional results for only one group of teams is dishonest, use it for all of them, or none, then it is more fair. For tokyo, since neither of them attended, you can literally just say that they didn't attend. In this scenario Giants is still better than Kru so it still gives your point for this
