gen curious
actually I agree you’re onto something
i’m guessing eeiu’s is also up with 100t then, but I think it would be more likely he stays with 100t considering their success right
is n4rrate’s KC contract expiring this year? i’ve seen a lot of buzz around him but I would assume KC wouldn’t let him go unless he’s a F/A
crashies+skuba
they’re def not getting both of them though
hard agree with most of these except for abyss, i think that astra will dominate omen as the sole controller as previously both of them just werent quite good enough to work solo, the buff to astra is substantial enough for her to work solo imo
this guy gets it, single elim games have no place in qualifier events
The blind works like a skye flash on a 20 second cooldown. Might be one of the best abilities in the game
isnt nrg’s roster final? S0m Demon1 Crashies Ethan Fns
Honestly I agree with you, my post was definitely influenced by missing the guard core lol
hard agree, icy will probably improve during the offseason and the chemistry is already there
I agree that Icy is incredibly flexible, which is why I don’t think we should make any roster changes since he’ll probably make improvements over the off season. For this season though with how leaf was performing during kick off, I believe if the viper role had shifted off of trent they would likely be in the same position. (Assuming Leaf kept up his crazy pace)
Imo G2 would be in the same position if they had not dropped neT. If neT and JonahP had split playing viper while Trent focused on purely initiators, Leaf on duelist would allow for better synergy and more dynamic rounds. Icy is a decent duelist while Leaf during kickoff and throughout the second half of last year was on fire on the role. Icy needs to make a major second year jump, or they should pick someone else up who can cover sentinel+viper as well as Leaf can, and move him back to duelist. If they can accomplish one of these, they’ll be threats. (neT also plays cypher pretty well while Leaf lacks a cypher)
raze
kj
breach
fade
omen
I want to see neon become meta on the map but honestly i think raze fade tether nade is synergy you can’t pass up as well as boombot to clear garage
(this was an L holyyyyyyy)
putin is at fault for gambit, acend is 100% the better choice
tbf bcj sucked mega nuts, i wasnt really addresing the terrible teams that make changes, I support swapping one player for worse teams like kru with heat this year or d1 last year. I’m mainly addressing the teams with potential that don’t lose because they lack individual ability, c9 last year, drx this year, prx (a little different tho), even loud this year
They obviously are looking good with icy, but i’d argue that they’re looking good despite icy. Nrg is a little different due to lacking an Igl but Demon1’s contract must’ve been steep, I don’t know how they can afford to have such little faith.
Imo I think orgs should let their rosters play out for at least a year. Val is super volatile and constant roster moves prevent synergy from forming and development of a team. Orgs should let the boys play (NRG) (NRG) (NRG) (also G2 i would’ve taken neT duelist over icy he got screwed)
did they specify how severe the velocity nerf is?
This reasoning is flawed for a number of reasons:
Just because kick off was single elimination, doesn't mean the teams present were not good enough to make it. In sports we play the games because the best teams on paper don't play the best on specific days. Saying that Gen G would've won if the bracket was single elimination doesn't make it a fluke? The formats don't have to be consist from an international event to regional ones. Every team played kick offs and madrid under the same parameters, they knew what the had to accomplish and the "best teams" on paper should've been at madrid if they were truly the best, they don't lose because of the format, they lost because they were outplayed. Saying that this tournament is a fluke due to kick off playoffs being single elimination means that we can practically invalidate every event since just one inconsistency invalidates the whole thing apparently. Two things can be true, is the format flawed: yes. Is the tournament a fluke just because kickoff was single elimination: no. Sen are the best team in the world based on their performances, that is indisputable. This sucks coming from a G2 fan but we can't invalidate teams in this manner, everyone played each format, each team knew what they had to accomplish to make it to madrid and win, sentinels delivered when it mattered and won the tournament(s), sentinels (or any team ) winning masters madrid was NOT a fluke, they are the reigning best team in the world.
I cannot believe the utter and sheer disrespect being thrown at these amazing igls. You clearly must not understand the world of Valorant Esports because if you did, you would most certainly be on your hands and knees whenever these names were spoken. Furthermore, my glorious king Ange1 had a 25% chance during Champions, to have a positive kill to death ratio in his respective match. This is significantly higher than Bonecold's 0% chance, thus I am certain that this discourse may be settled with coronating his majesty: Ange1, as the greatest Valorant igl of all time.
