both owner and staff have been hinting that there's an announcement soon and it looks like they got quite some investment recently
EDG
FPX
BLG
AG
TEC
LNG
JDG
Wolves
Pretty likely they got a spot with their recent activities and cryptic messages / hints
Last two spots could be anyone from TYLOO, Trace, KBG, LGD, Rare Atom or NiP
Trace has a higher chance but Regan is even more unlikely
also remember most Chinese teams including EDG practice for up to 8-12 hours a day I can't imagine how the players are feeling right now
The players need a break, it's the EDG management they need to complain to not the Afreeca tournament itself
Achilios said it as well and he doesn't usually troll
Autumn says Carpe is the IGL, but mind you this guy is a mega troll on social media so take it with some salt but then again this also sounds like something Autumn would do at the same time

Wanna quickly add that Detonation FocusMe directly said this when announcing XrayN
This contract was reached after CEO Umezaki directly requested Mr. XrayN to rebuild the DFM VALORANT division, which is struggling.
In addition to his first-class understanding of the game, which comes from his experience as a player, he also has excellent management skills, which he has cultivated through his experience in the working world. We have great expectations for his role as the team's tactical coach.
XrayN and DFM's CEO are good friends as both competed in Counter-Strike (although not together from the info I could find) back in the day so I can't help but feel like this is a cronyism decision by the CEO
The fact that XrayN got promoted to Head Coach while having zero experience coaching in VALORANT before joining tells me enough about DFM's future
Polaris will exist next year, a different situation compared to CIS. Riot is working on finding a TO to replace Promod but it takes time.
FOKUS (possibly) leaving is likely due to no merger between Polaris and DACH, which was considered a few weeks ago.
Their loss in the end since the initial roster would've won Ascension easily
not a job in esports yet, currently working as a farmer while I explore options
I've had a job for the past 3 months :deadass:
rare lyNxi appearance
Likely just rebranding all teams to KOI since that is the brand with the most dedicated fans or MAD KOI like most think it's gonna be named.

mind you this was from his stream 2 months ago

No, much like the other regions the focus is on the organization and what they can contribute to the VALORANT esports scene long-term. The roster is irrelevant to partnerships, but having a track record of competitive rosters is an added plus for your chances getting in.
didn't expect to open this thread and see Miniature spitting
V1 sold their GC roster to Shopify to avoid a conflict of interest since they are merging with G2
to be honest I have high hopes for this new ZETA DIVISION roster and think they'll do well.
They ruined their reputation in Japan thanks to everything that happened in League of Legends and their incredible loss streak in VCT. Nobody wants to join them and they can't compete with the salary offers in VCJ.
Itopata looking at the screen broke me.

afaik in terms of scrimbucks ZETA has started looking more structured already
the other options they were considering were not better tbh
He will be listed as HC afaik but the coaching staff won't really have a "head coach" internally
Toyo, former translator/manager for NORTHEPTION will join the team as translator for Carlao
Gekko with his green hair making me a glow in the dark aim labs target orb
I love how Riot never acknowledges the existence of VRC even though they keep assuring TOs that VRCs will remain a part of the EMEA Challengers system. EMEA will have both Premier and VRC teams in their relegation tournaments from what I know.
Polaris getting a first-hand taste of how the future of VALORANT will look like
Since Champs this year was done in LA the hub city of VCT Americas I can lowkey see them going to either Berlin or Seoul
Dambi has potential but needs more time in tier 2
decent tier 2 players but nowhere near tier 1 imo, I am doubtful about Gen.G for next season, at the start it looked good but now I really have my doubts about how this team will perform.
Hermes is also being trialed
Polaris on top as always
He was going to join Who Cars for Polaris playoffs, but we had to forfeit due to visa issues since playoffs were to be held in the UK (nightmare to get visa processed with only 2 weeks' notice)
G2 VALORANT SMM has to be the unluckiest person in the industry
Riot is very careful when it comes to Saudi Arabian investment and usually only really keeps it regionally due to the risk of everyone trying to get a piece of the Saudi Esports Investment Fund cake. At the moment only Calyx is clear to take care of the regional stuff in MENA, but Gamers8 has had both a VALORANT and League of Legends tournament but only regional teams were playing in it for reasons listed above.
