The reason the Korean server is a disconnected server is because of the laws (related to game money), and 99% of Korean Radiant players with the potential to become pros already play on HK or TK.

It might be good for a Japanese kid who wants to go pro to only play on HK. Even when I play, it's sometimes painful in Tokyo to be honest. Of course, in HK you have to face million cheaters.

Ah... If they had picked Fracture, which victory was already a determined conclusion due to the reversal of physical causality...

posted 1 month ago

Holy I get it Fracture ban now. You can look down on DRX and T1, but fear eko! The strongest in the whole world can't help it.

Why no Universe's greatest fracture today?

lol joxjo is gonna 4 win its a comedy

... and Einstein provided a powerful counterargument to Euler's absolute Fracture physics.
That was that the level of Fracture is relative to the observer. It was a very modern and revolutionary theory, but it had to be buried under the strong opposition of Euler's school...

its bit boring and im too sleepy to watch, so guys you'll have to take my place and witness the world's greatest plz.

At least he hit one! They might be really good at Fracture.

Hey Kato don't cut ask if you lose this. he look exactly like my college friend.

He seems to have had a lot to drink, but even sober, I can't help but point out a serious lack of metacognition, because a DRX or T1 would easily farm fennel even if they came in after 5 liters of beer like he did.

posted 1 month ago

I SAID this DRX roster has the potential to be the strongest DRX ever!

posted 1 month ago

Don't these two mean the same thing?

posted 1 month ago

What the hell is the value of a tier 2 career, especially when all the players have a 0.7 rating and coach is fired before the first game?

posted 1 month ago

lmao I only bet against these fennel frauds and I haven't lost so far.

I don't know who mainly built Old Zeta, but if it was XQQ, this is probably not as bad a choice as you might think. Surely their strats back then was the most horribly boring thing in the world, but they knew who their players were.

A major part of Carlao's failure was trying to make a brazilian team out of people who were the least like brazilian players in the world. 24 Zeta literally disintegrated as individuals after playing aggressively for two rounds.

I saw them for the first time this year, and after the RID game I thought they were just a bunch of selfish, nationalistic kids, but now I know they're horribly toxic radioactive waste and I can't see my favorite teams breathing on the same place as them.

This is a good choice for everyone, they could have a million of these competitions and still no one would like the Saudi.

The optimal course of action is to suck up as much money as possible before the Saudi realize what they're doing is a poison pill.

Riot and the teams get the money, the fans who will watch the games get to watch the games.
Even for fans who hate the Saudis enough not to watch the games, it would be nice if the tourny doesn't work as soft power and the hatred spreads because of the Saudis' deceptive behavior in the long run.

Salman just keeps losing money for nothing.

Why not? just put up with their smugness for a while.

If T1A wins big, kr's chances of ascension this year will be slim. I'm hoping for a FearX win, or at least a close match.

posted 1 month ago

I don't mean the fans in vlr, japanese here are all almost nice gentlemen. but I know a little bit of Japanese and I watched twitch stream.

posted 1 month ago

Wow, Murash fans are amazing, it's phenomenal to see the potential to outperform Prx j0ng suckers just by looking at piece of tier 2 shitbags. They are an deep abyss, like the singularity of a black hole. I hope they never make it to tier 1. Of course, there's no chance of their players ever accomplishing anything, so I guess I don't have to wish too much.

posted 1 month ago

This doesn't seem like a just mistake, needs to be investigated.

FearX lacks the chaotic power of the old Nongshim... We're screwed.

Dplus is notorious for discriminating against players. T1 org is arrogant, but they treat their players very nice. With only 3 (now 4) teams, the only reason there is a “player market” is because of T1 signing FAs for big money. It's a good thing that Dplus hasn't become a franchise.

The Japanese are passionate viewers, not passionate gamers. Although they are far more numerous.

Well, the PAC is the most nationalistic of all the regions. People feel pain when their team is eliminated, they don't look more, and they hate other countries. When one region's fans grow, the other region's fans die. It will take several mythical international wins to break through the wall and attract international fans. And I have no idea if that's even possible.

What I can guarantee is that the highest number of skin purchases per viewer in APAC will be from Korean viewers. They are passionate gamers who don't stop at watching.

This will help Riot's finances, which is the only thing they care about, but it never will result in some sort of thriving asian gaming/esports culture or other good shits.

I found the rumor tweet. I have to admit that I've never paid any attention to SEA, so I'm not sure if that's the actual plan, but I do remember hearing korean officials indirectly mention 5 teams (4 Korean and Japanese Nongshim).
on the other hand there were also rumors of 3 Japanese teams (CR, Zeta, and Nongshim). I'll agree that it was confusing. Anyway, it ended up in its current form.

posted 2 months ago

Just the value of the club.
They all spent $10 million just to get a league franchise, they spend millions of dollars a year, and they get that from investors.

I'm talking about a much bigger financial flow of korean teams. In 2021, Japanese company GameWith bought a 60% stake in Team Detonation(now DFM) for 250 million yen.
In the same 2021, DK's parent company Abyss Corp bought a 6% stake in DK through a capital increase, valued at 10 billion won. 6% of DK is more than twice as expensive as 100% of Detonation.

But that's league side, Of course they'll never be as popular on Valo as Zeta, obviously. And just because they have a lot of money doesn't mean they spend a lot on Valo. Their tier 2 players get paid as much as a convenience store cashier. DK even got in trouble for not giving their R6 team that much.

Surely you can't expect much viewers and fans. also sell bundles.... (the 3 korean teams are pretty good at selling bundles, though). That's why DFM is a partner and they're not.

Any j0ng suckers. they are no fun at all, but it's funny to see j0ng fucked up.

posted 2 months ago

Dude, if you're going to make stuff up, let's just put a couple of punches in j0ng's face. You don't have to call donk in your imagination.

posted 2 months ago

The initial plan for the franchise was to have 4 Korean orgs (DK, DRX, Gen.G, FearX), 1 Korean team with a Japanese roster (NS), 1 Japanese org (Zeta), 2 PH teams (TS, Talon), 1 SA team (GE), and 1 OCE team.

The backlash led to a change in the slot composition, but these ratios should give you an idea of Riot's original intentions. They didn't really care about country representation.

It's no wonder they preferred the LCK orgs anyway. Even the smallest LCK teams are much bigger than Zeta/DFM, which means they are not even financially comparable to all the other regions in APAC. Riot always likes organisations like that.

posted 2 months ago

Ok. I just enjoy their screams and agony, but you're not Korean, so I understand.

posted 2 months ago

Koreans think it's good that they dominate the PAC, not think pac is fucked. Why would we complain when we win?

There are some guys with Korean flair who say weird shit, but they would be halved if other guys didn't advertise their pain so loudly.

posted 2 months ago

That's less than 1/1000th of what Prx and j0ng suckers did.

posted 2 months ago

Dude, in Ascension, Korea and Japan have one slot each, and SEA has five. It's nothing to brag about.

SEA is also a disconnected region, so I don't know why it's treated as one, but the SEA people themselves say it is, so I get it....

I'm a little disappointed in Art. I believed he had something that all the other crappy Japanese IGLs lacked, but I saw him fear, hesitation, lack of determination - all the bad things that Japanese teams have historically shown when they've been pushed to the brink.

Munchkin, on the other hand, is back in champion mode. When I get most excited watching GEN play, it's not t3xture's four kills, or meteor's sheriff kill, it's the beauty of Munchkin's shotcalling when he overwhelms his opponents.

PRX undoubtedly have underestimated DFM as it is, and when they lost Abyss, they collapsed.

On the other hand, I could smell the fear in DFM's play today.

posted 2 months ago

OWL was over 70% Korean and we've never historically cared about any fps other than that. Valo would be a second, but it still has a much smaller user pool and popularity.

If he only watched the league from three years ago, he might not know enough. I remember his horror, and chinese consider him sacred, but he's not a worlds winner anyway.

Calling Ban Korean (Still doesn't seem like a very good idea) is understandable. He has a citizenship, He's a native speaker, spent over a year in Korean esports orgs, and understands their culture. Gov is just an American.
