Please never ever ban Ascent. I want to see the greatest Ascent match in the history one last time before it's gone.

Maybe it will be tighter than you guys think, but the -30 drop FNS is going to be the difference.

posted 1 month ago

It was pure inexperience and panic, but just playing more games doesn't necessarily make up for it. Progress has to be purposeful.

You'd better hope he doesn't succeed. If he does, that means your precious VCJ's level is far from what you think it is.

I don't know much about your discussions, but Eko is irredeemable scum. I guarantee it.

posted 1 month ago

That's why he was important. Xdll and Clz are not going to be much better than Hiroron Yuran. Even if syouta gets better, he will just replaces Laz and not increase team power.

posted 1 month ago

It would have been much better if Laz hadn't retired, he was the best player in Japan (not only his career, but his 2024 stats).

posted 1 month ago

Normally, this bait would have gotten a huge flood of Japanese dudes, but they seem to be happy with DFM. Now you're not catching any fish.

Why did Aspas use the Atk Operator so heavily?
Why did Aspas bait?
Why did Aspas require so much init skills?

Here are the answers.

posted 1 month ago

These scumbags won Americas, why can't MIBR win it? It's hard to win Champ, but it's possible to win domestic.

posted 1 month ago

You're seeing the reason why Aspas is the real goat.

posted 1 month ago

Meiy is loyal, and DFM has rewarded him for his loyalty by making the team his kingdom. Zeta fans may not want to admit it, but DFM knows what's important as org more than Z team.

It was all their fault

It was all their fault. All the blame

And a death sentence for Chet.

The team is perfectly innocent.

This round is killing, who the hell is Mith IGL?

posted 1 month ago

MITH's disciplined teamwork that looks better than tier 1 teams is truly amazing

Everyone in the world wants the same outcome, right?

DRX don't think about opponent's flash skills at all. They have a long way to go...

posted 1 month ago

Did you know that every match so far has been won by the side with the higher betting odd? Sen-Gen was pretty much even, but Sen was a little higher. Mith 5x, RL 11x. Bet now, your fortune will blow up.

posted 1 month ago

Wow. The exact opposite of what I've been saying all day happened immediately. Primmie took a ton of Tiktoks, not just a little, TLN Ascent is 2/11 for the year and nothing can salvage this crap hell. Anyone want my curse?

posted 1 month ago

Tln's Ascent win rate is 20% this year, and they've been stupid all year by picking Ascent first and using off-meta comps. If they play basic comp they should be able to win this time.

posted 1 month ago

Split Deadlock now looks like a good pick.

posted 1 month ago

Tln going to 5 Thai seems reasonable, and I don't really see a need for Primmie's spot there. He doesn't seem to play either Duelist or Sentinel well, and his playstyle is inherently too slow. Team have to invest too many resources to see a few Tiktok shots, I'm sure there are some Thai players who are more conducive to teamwork.

I'm just pulling your legs :(

I'm pretty happy Laz is coming out of his retirement

posted 1 month ago

In their matchup history, Gen.G has won the smaller games and Sen has won the bigger ones, so this time it should be Gen.G's turn.

posted 1 month ago

And no one got 3. NS also got 2 maps, What do you wanna say?

posted 1 month ago

NS, like BME, threatened SPG with an 10-7 advantage at last map and, unlike BME, Never in danger of being 3-0. They won the two maps much more easily than BME.

In challengers korea, SPG lost five maps, compared to only two in Ascension.

posted 1 month ago

During his complete sweep at Challengers Korea, the only map SPG used neon was on the Lotus; he hadn't used it much before Ascension. He played Raze for most of the match.

8 Team Masters is a deliberate choice by Riot to minimize costs while making the challenging choice to give up expected revenue to expand the scene. This year it was held in Madrid, where Valo isn't as much popular and is more League focused. Next year it's Bangkok, the first time an international has been held in SEA since the 2019 MSI. I thought it would never be held in SEA again.

posted 1 month ago

You should know that all of the best teams in APAC Tier 2 combined didn't score as many points against SPG as the Korean teams did.

posted 1 month ago

Gambit and Gen.G are the only two purely single nationality trophie winners. That's worth a lot more than counting the trophies of huge regions like the EU and SEA as a single region. EDG would be too if you include Taiwan in China, but that's like saying Canada is a colony of the United States when they're classified in the same NA. But holy this guy's regional categorization is ridiculous...

It doesn't matter. if you can get a deal, because selling broadcast rights is a huge money maker. You can expand your scene with that money.

But no broadcast station is going to pay for esports.

posted 1 month ago

The bubble burst after COVID and hasn't recovered. Many esports organizations are in perpetual deficit. What makes esports different from traditional sports is that you can never sell broadcast rights, and while a soccer stadium can seat 50,000 people, an esports arena can seat 300.

Ironically, the first modern esports, the StarCraft scene, was born in the TV era. Korea had two cable stations specializing in gaming, Ongamenet and MBC game, which meant you had to pay for cable TV to watch games. With the rise of Youtube, both stations became unprofitable and disappeared. You'd hope that esports would make it to TV, but historically, esports have been pushed from TV to online.

The game is over. And the president will be impeached and sentenced to life in prison. Life goes on as usual for everyone else.

posted 1 month ago

To be fair, MF has been a below average player for most of his career, both internationally and domestically, but his recent form since Champions Seoul is definitely better. He's grown up.

posted 1 month ago

True strength is shown on a bad day, not a 13-0 game on a good day. Remember we used to think of every game in DFM as an upset. The scores have been close and Meiy's performance in the playoffs hasn't been great, but they keep winning. They're a pretty solid team. Rock hard.

posted 1 month ago

Just china.

posted 1 month ago

It's simple, Esports is a sport where single year is everything. Whether Ssess is 29 or 45, if he's better now, he should compete now.

posted 1 month ago

Disaster teamwork. 4-0 pistol, split 15-7fk and lost.

posted 1 month ago

A redemption like the Shanghai Dragons.

posted 1 month ago

Old DRX: lose Pistol rounds, fall behind early, then pull off comeback win

New DRX: Win every Pistols, leads early, then go downhill rapidly from the middle to lose the match.
