It's the same situation with TenZ and many other pros, they don't actually hate the player but theirs fans instead. Haters and fans alike don't know these pros IRL and vice-versa. There is no reason for them to hate the person. It's always the fans of a certain player which determines if he is going to be liked or not. It's very childish and stupid but it's the truth.

Yea I agree, that was stupid. Probably the recency bias was strong with a lot of people. NRG is still #1 NA after the first week. Will it change? Maybe or maybe not we'll just have to wait and see.
