EDG and PRX saving strats for the EDG vs PRX 2025 Champs grand finale trust
I got 6 posts in 2 months... (also this thought entertained me a good bit when I was in the middle of taking finals, otherwise you're right I'd rather go outside)
This is a random thought I had in the shower - I perfectly understand that this hypothetical or anything similar probably won't ever happen so suspend your disbelief for a moment and have some fun :)
What if EDG and TH after their match in champions 2024 became real good mates, dap up and held a month long boot camp together just to scrim, do 10 mans and share ideas and feedback? (Kangkang carries EDG yet again by translating all the English) Likely already being the best 2 teams in the first portion of 2025 - all other higher teams teams having changed at least 1 person in the team, the least affected teams being G2 and Fanatic then just PRX who maintained their roster - would having this boot camp create an insurmountable gap that other teams can only dream of crossing in 2025?
I can imagine Heretics utilizing this opportunity to address their greatest weakness of certain defend sides against an EDG with some of the best team fighting. Imagining a TH with a good theory on how to play defender side is quite terrifying.
Although I don't know what specifically EDG may improve on, I am pretty certain clashing against the almost best team in the world (It feels to me that the two teams are equally the best tbh) will make them even more monstrous - EDG learnt the most important things and made most of their changes from just their experience in international events (China up to now hasn't really pushed them much, neither does it seem they will next year). Oh s1mon would probably get so much out of this as well.
I've convinced myself pretty hard that if this scenario happens Valorant would become a 2 team game lol. Would there be another 2 teams at a time in Valorant history where a similar outcome of creating a massive gap would occur?
I had a lot of fun dreaming about this in the shower, thanks for tuning into my thoughts.
I don't think the teams would like to play potentially 3 BO3's in a single day. Feels bad for FPX though ig
Haodong - I really respect him for stepping down from the team when EDG was adjusting their team for role issues (Smoggy switched from flex to smokes so Haodong had to play senti but was clearly uncomfortable doing so). I'm very happy he is going to have another opportunity with TEC and I hope he sees success :)
From my impressions, both these teams have top level firepower but their team cohesion is a weak point at times. I look forward to what might be the highest level mudfight in all of valorant history.
Come on my edgers EDG WINNNNN!
At least it wasn't as traumatic as the BLG DRX game where BLG was up 11-0 on lotus then got 13-11'ed by DRX (That will forever haunt me as a Chinese fan). GG Trace for really putting China teams on the board.
I woke up to a EDG win this morning and celebrated with my fists in the air then lost some hairline after seeing this match up.
