Obv its not a small sum of money but for the viewership that's predicted it seems like it should be more.
Why would they save money for this though. Its probably going to be the second biggest val tournament of the year. A bigger prize pool would only drive up viewership and add more incentives for players in the tournament, especially in smaller regions, to try there best. Plus smaller leagues like Overwatch League have bigger prize pools like 3.5 Million, granted the teams are larger but still.
700K is pretty shit for 16 teams when Iceland was 600K with 10 teams.
I think Scream has a really good sage and they should put him on it more often. I agree the Kayo was bad but they were just testing the waters with it imo.
This guy has taken a team who has no true IGL and crazy fucked up roles(no consistent sova player, jampii plays a lot of different agents) and made them into one of the top teams in Europe. Obviously the players deserve a lot of credit for this as well but Sliggy must be doing an astronomical amount of work BTS.
