he has 156 officials maps on jett with 250acs, he's no slouch he just has a different playstyle.. his playstyle is similar to shahzam, OP'ing jett

if they want a more aggro/rifler jett, they can always put hoody on it, hoody was on jett since early days, the main jett on giants before fit1nho

just work it out, first official of the roster and they had two close maps against a vitality who destroyed in opens

maybe g2 needs to stop making changes every time they run into trouble and actually work through their problems this time...

for one iteration of the roster, please

The format they chose to go with this time is not that, though that's what I'm saying. They made up a new format where there are no rebroadcasters and only observer + streamer pairs and player streams, perhaps to establish a better quality standard. This is why there are also no rebroadcasts or true "watchparties" of other languages. They changed the definition of watch party.

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah, but no one can know that beforehand. You need to know that they will stream Spanish games beforehand and license them to Spanish streamers. That's the only way. It just happens to be that people this time chose many Spanish orgs to stream.

posted about 2 years ago

that was a good game

posted about 2 years ago

The problem is you are specifically choosing Spanish teams. That requires an observer that only looks at Spanish games. That's why my first thought is that LVP is perfect for this.

Tho I agree that anyone in the Spanish scene should be able to do it, and there are many people, so idk what happened.

posted about 2 years ago

What? Doesn't Riot license it to LVP? Maybe the LVP team is busy preparing for the regional league.

I'm not saying LVP should give a license. They could spectate Spanish games like they did last time, no?

The problem is that it's not only about spectating or having a watch party like in champions, you have to have production + observation.

wtf

posted about 2 years ago

it has to do with some conflict to do with lvp then because they have a good studio, idk why they wouldn't stream spanish games

posted about 2 years ago

ibai was not streaming champions.. am i wrong?

they are probably clueless when it comes to spanish scene and ibai

That's for EMEA challengers playoffs for Masters 1 qualification, not closed qualifier for them, which is what the OP is referring to. Those 4 teams are not going to play at all in the next two stage 1 challengers qualifiers.

Right, but none of this detracts from the fact, that he on a day he was supposed to be vaccinated wasn't. That is the fundamental reason as to why he couldn't board Brazil and begin working with Loud. He did not do his due diligence and check the Brazilian policy before his flight and made sure he was vaccinated. None of it had to do with him having an opinion on mandates.

You'd have to be against the vaccines if you are his age and not personally vaccinated when 37 million people in Argentina are vaccinated. He also refused to take the vaccination at the airport. It is a simple fact, he doesn't want to take the jab and he lost his international job because of it.

He spews antiscientific libertarian think-tank garbage like the GBD and popular tropes such as informed consent. If they speak like an antivaxxer, walk like an antivaxxer and get blacklisted from their job like an antivaxxer, they're probably an antivaxxer.

He should own it and not pretend like it's something else, such as "i just have an opinion on the passport and i'm being cancelled for it".

posted about 2 years ago

If he's ready to lose his job over it, I couldn't care less. That's the consequence he's choosing. It may be completely irrational, but if that's the conclusion he came to based on his working principles, then it is what it is.

Now if he's crying about it and saying it ought to be different, then that's bullshit. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Not when there's a public health crisis with an easy preventative measure, that you're against.

i dunno if u get what im saying.. they were independent broadcasters in the previous open qualifiers, they would go through the open qualifiers and observe/commentate matches of interest on their own twitch channels

if the same is the case, then idk why they are called watch parties, because watch parties usually are for main streams... so is there a main stream for open qualis and they are watch parties for the main stream or are they independent broadcasters for the open qualifiers choosing what matches to observe?

posted about 2 years ago

wut? weren't they legit just observers/broadcasters in the previous open qualis?

do people here think the police will arrest and charge someone who accepted one unknown twitch bits transaction facilitated by their brother? surely not.. they would only charge people who they suspect with high confidence have caused significant financial damage and can therefore construct a legal case against

tecone for example tweeted about his yearly binance trading volume being about 9 million USD... that's something worth investigating for legitimacy

On the judging impressiveness based on gameplay part:

The player with the most dominant looking gameplay doesn't tell as much about them as it does their opponents. That's the player who suddenly looks like a mess when put up against relatively stronger opposition. It all crumbles at that moment. Everything you thought was amazing about that player all of the sudden disappears as if they never were really that good, unless they actually are that good, which is a case of one in a hundred.

I've had many moments where I think a player is good because they looked really strong against relatively weak opponents.. But then look like absolute dogshit when they face a better opponent in the server. That's what should matter.

The games at the highest levels don't even tend to look impressive from any individual's PoV, because they tend to be evenly matched. They are constantly trading blows, it doesn't look dominant, therefore no one "looks" spectacular.

So from what I've seen, an important factor is not how they look, it's who they are playing and the importance of the game. How they look is 99% of the time a function of their opponents and not them. If they keep looking good after facing opponent after opponent, they are probably good. If they look insane because of the gameplay footage you've seen and crumble in groups, they are probably not good, no matter how you twist it.
