im glad that all of the regions are showing up this event, CN getting more than 1 win in this event is good at least haha

posted 2 months ago

considering the current scoreline right now, and the next game EDG vs G2
the current region win-loss ratios at the end could possibly be

Americas: 3-3
Pacific: 3-3
EMEA: 3-3
CN: 3-3

or if EDG gets their way

Americas: 2-4
Pacific: 3-3
EMEA: 3-3
CN: 4-2

FURTHERMORE. if G2 win against EDG then we have once again reached absolute balance

1 Emea playoffs
1 CN playoffs
1 Pac playoffs
1 Americas playoffs

unless EDG pull off the upset(?)

edit: love you trace

posted 2 months ago

unluckiest team, geng and th again is pretty cooked

posted 2 months ago

I'll be surprised if EDG get a map, G2-0

posted 2 months ago

i figured that s1mon was an additional initiator in order to set up a team comp for KK to pop off, which tbf his initiator util usage is great and we can see that KK is getting the blinds, stuns and info he needs to set himself up. i mean he is a great aimer as well but i would say his main impact is his role in the team, with his aim being a safety net

For the opening matches. All regions have won 2 games each!

Americas

  1. LEV vs TLN (2-0)
  2. G2 vs PRX (2-0)

Pacific

  1. DRX vs KRU (2-1)
  2. GenG vs SEN (2-0)

EMEA

  1. TH vs FPX (2-1)
  2. FNC vs BLG (2-0)

China

  1. TE vs VIT (2-1)
  2. EDG vs FUT (2-0)

It's pretty hilarious that CN would've had the most opening match wins if FPX could close out Map 3 without having OT forced by TH.

posted 2 months ago

honestly it still marvels me how much a sheriff can do when a player fully pops off, despite ecos like that happening a lot

posted 2 months ago

With a ratio of 3:1:0

EMEA teams have been able to give CN teams their first international win. With the exception of NRG.

EMEA:
EDG vs NAVI
FPX vs FUT
TE vs VIT

AMERICAS:
BLG vs NRG

So currently Pacific is the only region not to be upset by an unknown CN team yet.

posted 2 months ago

glad we could close out the map

posted 2 months ago

recited all the bilibili players on stream perfectly lmao

posted 2 months ago

Fucking overtime loss again, I can't bear some of these games I can't predict shit when Berlin is simultaneously saving FPX and throwing at the same time

posted 2 months ago

yeah you are 100% right, both atks are so good

posted 2 months ago

my apologies AAAAAAY

posted 2 months ago

Their defense side is quite inconsistent, even if they are up a lead i feel like they can easily drop that as well

posted 2 months ago

I can't even celebrate when CN wins a map, I know smt bad might happen afterwards, just keep calm lol

posted 2 months ago

GenG...
faked B entry
transitioned into a C split
fake the C split
gives a timing for the viper lurk to kill the solo A anchor
full rotate back to A
site secured
jesus fucking christ
10/10 pistol
that viper wall munchkin uses is great as well
gives a good constant threat of an A lurk, and semi-smokes B and lets Karon keep a smoke for the C split fake

still cant believe GE fumbled t3xture that badly

You timetravelled back to the start of VCT 2023, before Lock//In, you can visit one VCT team of your choice when they are practising or whatever opportunity where all of the team is there, and you have 1 minute to say whatever you want before you suddenly disappear back to the present.

What team would you choose?

What would you tell them?

posted 3 months ago

Talon over GenG lol

posted 3 months ago

Three CN teams make playoffs.

Alternatively, all EMEA teams make playoffs and all place in the like Top 4 or smt.

posted 3 months ago

If all EMEA teams bomb out of group stage and playoffs, then this will be the first year of VCT where EMEA has won nothing.

2021:
Masters Berlin: Gambit
Champions 2021: Acend

2022:
Masters Copenhagen: FPX

2023:
LOCK//IN: FNC
Masters Tokyo: FNC

2024:
Champions 2024: ???

posted 3 months ago

their improvement is definitely showing, at a faster rate thanks to Shanghai, but the rise in skilled play overall is becoming higher than the rate of improvement for CN, it'll be a while until we see consistent decent CN placings

i do hope i get proven wrong though in this Champs

posted 3 months ago

Regardless of how many enter playoffs, what matters is just how they show their progress for this event, which I hope they can at least show their ability to go toe to toe with the best

posted 3 months ago

it gets harder every year, some of the champions songs are hard to beat

posted 3 months ago

Better hope that one of the members of FNC forgot who the duelist on BiliBili Gaming was.

posted 3 months ago

I didn't mind the Shanghai one, I see a lot of people have unfavourable opinions about it but I thought it fit well considering the tone of Shanghai itself from the trailers.

Personally:

  1. Masters Tokyo
  2. Masters Shanghai
  3. LOCK//IN
  4. Champions 2023
  5. Masters Madrid
posted 3 months ago
  1. GenG
  2. TH
  3. EDG
  4. FPX
posted 3 months ago

it should be alright, im sure they remember the duelist's name

posted 3 months ago

You're either going to be ridiculed or praised in the next month man, but hey, i'd also like to see more CN teams get to playoffs.

posted 3 months ago

Ever since EDG's appearance in a Champions event, they are always in a group with PRX.

Champions 2022: EDG, PRX, TL, LEV
Champions 2023: EDG, PRX, KRU, GIA
Champions 2024: EDG, PRX, G2, FUT

posted 3 months ago

The chances of getting the Masters Madrid Winner, and the 1st and 2nd of Masters Shanghai in one group. With FPX being the victim and is playing TH in a rematch.

TheShy is playing lock in

Americas, probably not.
EMEA, looks good.
Pacific, probably not.
CN, best case scenario.

posted 3 months ago

i stopped watching at 7-11, i come back and i see people meatriding MTA, did he score like 4 clutches in a row or smt?

#1 seeding only group of death incoming ("random sorting" by riot)

posted 3 months ago

thats way more extensive than what i did, i just assumed they went in Americas down and the first seeds alternate

First group:
Americas (#1 seed)
EMEA (#2 seed)
Pacific (#3 seed)
CN (#4 seed) BLG

Second Group:
EMEA (#1 seed)
Pacific (#2 seed)
CN (#3 seed) TRACE
Americas (#4 seed) SEN

Third Group:
Pacific (#1 seed)
CN (#2 seed)
Americas (#3 seed)
EMEA (#4 seed) FUT

Fourth group:
CN (#1 seed)
Americas (#2 seed)
EMEA (#3 seed) TH
Pacific (#4 seed) TLN

Well, I'm glad that other teams are doing well besides FPX and EDG. Trace look structured, and very much carefree because they've made Champs, its a good look.

posted 3 months ago

lets say DRX, PRX, and GenG qualify to Champs via playoffs standings, despite being top 3 in points, the champs points dont apply because... they've already qualified without it, that means the champs slot falls to the team that has the highest champs point (and priority) but didnt qualify via playoffs, which would be TLN

posted 3 months ago
  1. Talon = TS in Champ points but Head to Head favours Talon

  2. That means PRX, GenG, DRX, and TLN have the highest champ points. So it doesnt matter who loses or wins because all 4 head to champs.

posted 3 months ago

experimenting most likely, they are up in champs points so theyll just fuck around until smt sticks

posted 3 months ago

It's not completely impossible. Trace has been showing inconsistencies, and all of the 3 teams EDG, FPX, and Trace have lost in Stage 2. EDG has lost twice. BLG are improving well, so the scenario of BiliBili to Champs isn't so farfetched.
