this occurs before valorant even began. Brazilians sent so many threats that hiko had to hire bodyguards at LAN in brazil in counterstrike. they were discussing whether or not it was a bug or not. speaking within multiple admins takes time, and FURIAs own fault for halting their own momentum through attempt at an advantage

it happened multiple times and might not have been caught by riot immediately. to replay the match entirely would destroy riot time constaints and cause too much hassle to set up a LAN to play a few rounds

this is true, this is definitely a riot error but unfortunately they are also humans and make mistakes and I believe they came to a valid compromise

they used the exploit on multiple rounds not just one.

VK used it on multiple rounds. replaying the map may not be an option due to extreme time restrictions and covid protocols they have to follow at LAN. giving BR a pass is bias, favoritism and nor i say blatant racism towards X10 and vgia

you may feel however you want. giving free rounds is better than getting disqualified for an exploit on the world stage LAN.

I understand that but winning while using an unfair advantage, however insignificant it may be is not fair to any one involved.

the bug was known beforehand. punished beforehand in 2 different instances. just because a bug is specifically not mentioned in a bug list, does not give players the right to use them.

While I do believe VK could have beaten Acend without the camera exploit, it is an exploit nonetheless and it must be punished accordingly, especially if it is one that has been used before and punished for before. I respect your opinion though but please dont let your emotions cloud your judgement

according to the rulebook provided before the tournament began, a match cannot be paused or terminated in the event of an exploit unless it is blatant (ie. glitched viper ults), or an opposing player reports it. I believe Acend players were not aware of the cam being used because it was hidden behind a piece of marieral on the map so they could not/would not report it. and I was watching the match and did not catch the bug, so there could be a possibility it was not blatant enough for Riot Admins to catch

how can you be sure of that? im sure he knows that Giants and X10 were punished severely for the same act, and if not he might want to pay more attention towards the current ongoings in the community

im going to give some reasons as to why this ruling was indeed fair. If you can validly critique any of these points, ill humbly admit my mistake.

1. VK blatantly used a known exploit that 2 other teams were punished for previously.

2. If riot hadnt taken action against them it would show bias towards the Brazilian region when X10 and Giants from other regions have been more severely punished.

3. Even if a bug exists and doesnt get patched by riot it does jot give players the right to abuse it.

4. If the same thing happened from another region (ie. Sentinels) using the same exploit against FURIA, brazillian fans would have most likely sent death threats and demanded a disqualification or an immediate match forfeit from the opposing team.

5. Riot did not stop the match. Read competitive ruling as to why this is the case. The camera was not blatant enough to be caught and no member of Acend reported it so they could not pause the match mid game.

6. Vivo Keyd are frankly lucky they did not recieve a further punishment (ie. disqualification) because of the exploitation of a known bug.

7. Riot devs did what they saw fit under their time constraints. Their game, their rules. Play by them or face them as the judge.
