bro just when i think this thread finally dies 3 people reply in a minute
I think with mini it's possible to play good against KC, also on the Yinsu podcast boaster said they weren't expecting to play in playoffs so I think internally they don't have as much pressure. But even if they lose to KC I think they can win a NAVI or Heretics rematch
its ok, in goatser and derkgoat i believe
I think (hope) DRX finally stop choking
EMEA fell off so hard, it was easily the best last year imo, idk why they changed arena, the pit was such a good idea and they did so much with the lighting and walkouts
like look at this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5v-aUQUZYRw
at that point was there anyway for fnatic to qual top seed? (including relying on other teams), if not possible this could be huge
im lowk scared of liquid they switched comps like 2 hours before their game today and looked insane (tbf it was against gm8)
If FNC don't make shanghai I will buy the bundle of every flair that replies
(it won't happen but if it does, someone remind me that I posted this)
bundles rn (no CN teams cuz the list is bigger than I thought and they aren't in the store):
PRX
FUT
LEV
100T
SEN
DFM
KC
TL
C9
BLD
EG
NAVI
NRG
TH
TLN
BBL
VIT
KOI
KRU
T1
edit: never doubted
emea plays off meta a lot more than other regions i think which makes it easier for 'better' teams to lose against 'worse' teams
2-1 (hopefully to fnc)
enzo + mistic vs boaster + derke will be fun to watch, i think it will be an enjoyable match maybe competitive too if mini is still in berlin
if FNC win are they first seed?
and would NAVI still have a chance to make playoffs? (I kinda wanna seem them in shanghai too)
I'd love this, but idk if it could actually happen since I think mini chose to step away cuz of personal reasons, so it might be rly tough to convince him back to his former position
i think its cuz there's a very large sample size of sen's gameplay, meaning teams which are weak but have good coaching can more easily outplay them, and so far sen haven't had a great counter
actually I take the last part about VIT back on second thought, but rn low A tier below KC is reasonable imo
I agree nAts is being wasted on liquid, but I think Derke should have a bit more time, probably until the end of the 2nd split to prove himself on a more disciplined role
if gm8 play more like they are now yeah, but from what we've seen so far imo they're mid C tier. VIT S tier is a crime, B tier even if you're coping
Honestly, (with the help of hindsight) this wasn't a great pickup for FNC, elmapuddy was on geng last year and they were NOT cooking, no disrespect to him as an individual, I just question why (at the time) such a high performing team would pick him up after his track record
I think coaching is an issue, the players just don't play off each other as they did last year, the calling and strats are fine but they're not meta defining as they were last year.
if changing that doesn't work maybe put derke in sentinel jail and lean into alfa duelist a bit more. I think a good indicator of this is the fact that now boaster is putting up more numbers, which may on paper be great, but I think it also shows that literally every other player is pulling less weight. What are your thoughts, does something else need to change?
Haven't played the older games but of the newer open world ones Odyssey is very very good, if you have a good pc and monitor it looks stunning as well, especially considering it's a 6 year old game
so next year is probably champs berlin number 554?
I may be biased but the EMEA stage and lighting look waaaaay cooler than the Americas and Pacific ones. its completely subjective but the playlist choice is also superior imo.
the crowd is mild though, but hopefully itll pick up for the more anticipated matches
those dark red ones which are sweet and almost crunchy clear
bro the stars going up is singlehandedly the best deterrent for me using this site
cned is a small downgrade in the current meta but the move makes sense since sayf wants to play perma-support anyways, so i think its the best they could do.
redgar for enzo, i think at their peak you can equate them, but after results this year i dont mind this move, so yeah i agree with sidegrade sorta
mistic for soulcas is interesting, cause i feel like mistic has always been an all round good player deserving of t1, whereas soulcas had 3 years to show he was great, he had flashes (no pun intended) of being a top t1 player, but they never amounted to anything. this move is a massive W
I think a lot of their performance is gonna depend on the igl side of things and less on the quality of players, thats been the issue with liquid since 2021 tbh
english urdu and in theory spanish (not in practice)
idk i dont think its that deep
im pretty sure mini meant "you" as in "you all"
and consider their mental, the favourites just bombed out losing to the same team twice, its not gonna be sunshine and rainbows
1st prx cuz jinggg's last tourney and would suck to see a team come 2nd place at a GF twice (NV/OPTC exist but atleast they got their one)
2nd loud they beat fnatic which sucks but tbh theyre a good team (+chaadhak)
3rd eg, imo (which some vlr users seem to be unable to comprehend) they come off as a bit boring if you dont really care about the trash talk, (outside the game, obviously they're a good team cuz they made top but i do kinda think ethan is kinda goated
in theory premier is supposed to help with this
but in the end we'll only be able to tell if its worked in 2-3 years
the most logical thing would be for it to be a complete split but i could be completely wrong cause rito
in my opinion the logic that the talent pool comes down from t1 is flawed for valorant specifically
the partner system is explicitly designed for t2 (t3 in the future) to be how the talent pool grows.
also it does make sense that its frustrating to not have that many slots in t1 which is something they said theyll make better in the future as they presented in their 5 year roadmap
https://dotesports.com/valorant/news/vct-5-year-valorant-roadmap-explained
this way quality of play > quantity of orgs/demand, meaning if you truly believe your region is great and deserves more slots youll have the chance to watch them. this is going to ideally be true for all regions (south asia hopium)
yeah, i completely agree agree it would be super hype to see the players, and the song was pretty good it does fit the theme of champs pretty well.
whilst im sure it hits most for the actual players, as a viewer it slightly degrades to the quality.
imo they should stick with the players or make a recognisable mascot type to fill the role of the subject.
im sure most people dont really care but im sure i wasnt the only one that wasnt a bit disappointed with this years vct video (not the song or animation)
last years was so much more interesting with involving the players into the animation
idk just watching a hypothetical story of made up characters making it to masters/champs doesnt seem as hype or creative to me
its a very minor thing but im just wondering what people think
ggwp
c u in grand finals hopefully :)
