It's probably tier 2 + teams that don't make playoffs (and unlikely, but possibly teams that are eliminated from playoffs early)

Will probably have byes for a few teams

They used to exist in abundance, but I think riot started shutting them down

holy that's actually a great idea

W (mostly, will see how they distribute championship points)

  1. This didn't end up mattering considering how he played in scrims (as now confirmed)
  2. It's not really reasonable for him to be able to foresee what would happen
  3. It was reasonable to have him go off of chamber, considering his new position in the meta, alongside the fact that we now know he was have success in scrims
  4. I don't know enough about this to comment
  5. This is just speculation, even if it was because of the team, yay was only a quarter of the other players. It's very short-sighted to retire if one guy is bothering you

Sixth, Seventh and Eighth point: This is all personal drama with biased views, for each of these people there has been say atleast two people in the scene to come out and defend yays image and character. These people have a vested interest (ie clout) in bad naming a player such as yay

I think it's not nearly as bad as this year. We will have a full double elim bracket before hand

posted 5 months ago

I actually can see this happening
My guess would be for Champs to be in Beijing though, since China haven't had a Champs yet
(It makes sense now imo, since the start of franchising by next year we will have had LA (AMER), Seoul (PAC) and Paris (EMEA))

posted 5 months ago

single elim balls to the wall tournament is actually a really fun (and expensive) idea.
People will say it's 'mickey mouse' or whatever from a quality of gameplay standpoint, but as a viewer it was one of the most enjoyable events imo

posted 5 months ago

nah, it's certainly possible. I'm just speaking on strictly next year

posted 5 months ago

I think lev have a decent chance, out of all of the teams left at champs they're probably the 'newest' roster (excluding TH and subs), so to get this far is an achievement. I think they will have a good year next year

posted 5 months ago

nah surely no way we get 2 EMEA events now that we have 4 regions to distribute over
I would think we will get:

Masters London
Masters Mexico
Champions Beijing

(following the pattern, either EMEA or APAC will miss out on an event)

posted 5 months ago

I'm tired so maybe I'm just reading this wrong, but this is implying that there won't be an interregional game changers tournament this year right?

leaked by a now deleted instagram post from valorant indonesia. I'm sure someones recorded it

posted 5 months ago

Bro this year people were saying it's a fluke for the exact opposite reason.
I guess you can't win lol

posted 5 months ago

according to a not thorough google search only 40% of French people are proficient in English, so we most likely won't be getting a Copenhagen situation where they just cast in English to the audience. I also believe riot and valorant have a large production team/office in Paris so it would most likely be in French

posted 5 months ago

Singapore should defo be a champs

posted 5 months ago

There was a post from the Indonesian valorant instagram account which basically leaked the 2025 season format video
(now deleted)

I was gonna put FNC for Paris but that would've been too much glazing

FPX
GENG
VIT (reaching)

In the past when they've gone to slightly bigger venues but they've been empty for less hyped/non home crowd matches. It makes sense but I wish there was a better way to deal with it than just downsizing

posted 5 months ago

You my friend haven't queued London servers
(I can't even imagine what Paris servers are like)

posted 5 months ago

The thing is there may be more demand for CS than VAL, so don't get your expectations high enough to expect that kind of crowd. It's a fact that generally applies to Europe tbh

posted 5 months ago

should be early to mid sep - mid to late oct from the graphic they leaked

posted 5 months ago

nah this is diabolical 😭😭

posted 5 months ago

Paris is relatively central too, I like it
(Also we don't get Berlin for the 400th time)

posted 5 months ago

Well masters is going to be in June, so the only feasible place is between Toronto and Split 2. But idk if that gap would be large enough

posted 5 months ago

When is the EWC? The only time it can be is Nov-Dec, unless there is a long enough break in the main season

posted 5 months ago

This year AMER missed out on an event
Next year CN will miss out
meaning 2027 and/or 2028 have a good chance to have a LATAM event

This is my personal opinion (formed over visiting many times) but Glasgow is a very dark and corporate city. Imagine Gotham but way less cool

posted 5 months ago

I like the thought of giving smaller cities a chance, but Liverpool is NOT where you want an event held.

In the UK your best choices are (in order, by my opinion)

London
Manchester
Edinburgh
Birmingham

Luhansk is... interesting

if you don't show up in this I'll be disappointed

posted 5 months ago

I visited a few weeks ago, sure Toronto is a big city and has all the big city stuff, but the areas around it are really cool. But it depends on if you're a sightseeing typa person I guess

posted 5 months ago

sorry for not wanting the league to make a financial loss i guess

posted 5 months ago

ok 8 teams in Bangkok is a bit disappointing, but overall it's a W

posted 5 months ago

This might be a hot take for those that watch CS, but I think 3 events is enough (at the very least until there's more demand/money), imo the more 'majors' you add, the less the meaning of winning one has

posted 5 months ago

yup, its literally less than an hour flight (if you're lucky) I took it 2 weeks ago
