100T 2-1 XSET. I have too much Hopium in my bloodstream
How do y'all even find this news. I actually missed every single one of these lol
I still think there's a chance to best xset.
I think every team needs to keep a core 3 mid-tourney, even the ones that got through opens (since they got through opens with that team).
However, in between tournaments, teams that earn circuit points (which will be later during the stage 1 playoffs) and want to keep those points will also have to keep 3/5 core players.
there are other players besides cryo and zander in the off season who could've been on the market and ended up not. There were rumors of cned, brehze from csgo, etc.
yeah, I hate it when that happens
Your scenario isn't likely what's happening. Either
(1) The loan contracts would either have a predetermined buyout (so it's not performance based like Tenz's buyout) or
(2) the buyout is the standard purchase of whatever the rest of his contract is from TSM (e.g. if it was a 3 year contract, then 100T pays TSM the rest of what they owe Bang).
It would be incredibly bad for the scene if teams can just spike contract prices after an individual's performance mid-negotiations.
People are literally making up shit that disagrees with reality lol. 100T has never had problems with money/buyouts. On top of what you said about those 2 not as well-known as they are now, Nadeshot also said on that stream that there were certain players who were talking about switching from cs:go who ended up not doing the switch and the timing of everything else behind the scenes that didn't pan out made 100T end up with what they had in 2022. (My guess is that brehze rumor which didn't pan out).
??? The same team that acquired Nitr0 and Ethan will cheap out? What are you talking about
Early on, 100T was trying to bring up Seven, I'm guessing they eventually let him go because he wasn't consistent enough for them in the trials/scrims. He has many highs but also seems to be very inexperienced and it's showing here as well. How is Steel one of this team's best performers?
And here we go again. Keloqz benched yet again and Mixwell back in lol. Mid-tourney btw. We can admit that G2 is being messy with their management now right?
Ooof, I almost didn't get it! I almost never use the 4th letter.

They will. I'm predicting 2-0.
I think you just want to argue because you're not making sense.
Calling something hectic and messy is not "having a strong opinion", it's calling it what it looks like. An opinion would be calling 100T's decision bad or saying they're a bad org when we know little about what went on internally (same with G2's decision here), i.e. speculating on reasons why it happened and assuming it's the worse or that there was no good reason. For orgs this big, benefit of the doubt would be pretty fair to give them, but drama makes people say crazy things (at least from what I've read in these forums).
Anyway, Nadeshot has made several videos trying to explain what happened (without giving much details), and this is what I meant by "keep it real": making an attempt at transparency. And I'm not criticizing G2's way of handling messy news either, so if you think I meant anything malicious by saying "trying to" then you're just reading into things my friend.
TWO?? You're giving them two whole games? nah. just 1 match
So.... they're doing the same things, but one posts a funny meme and the other one keeps it real? ok... my point is that it's hectic and messy for the scene no matter how funny Ocelote tries to make it.
I asked BabyJ in chat if they did offer to bench him and he said he asked to be released. He wants to play and won't sit on a bench waiting
Where are all the people who were saying Nadeshot should take some management lessons from G2 Carlos?
It's clear that with this newer cutthroat format, these to orgs are trying to get results however they can, no matter how messy it looks. And no one knows what's happening internally so until results start coming (or not coming), so many strong outside opinions on vlr and Reddit this week are gonna look dumb af
Exactly this. CS:GO doesn't change, so it's easier to be on top for a long-time since you just have to counter-strat smartly and have a god-squad of aimers with solid fundamentals. But even a god-squad in valorant can lose if they have a bad meta.
You can't click heads if you're stunned, mollied, and can't see the helicopter jett aimed at your face. The shifting state of Valorant is going to test every team to stay on top, but asserting indisputable dominance is going to be nigh-impossible imo.
damn, I was gonna shout out netero and his constantly changing flairs
Facts. But I do think bang and asuna are really cool aren't they?
dang that's rough! I think you really gotta knock out the important consonents early. That's the key!
I was referring to challengers 1 where they dropped mixwell for keloqz after the super early losses which was a good move since he's a better Jett, but it still happened abruptly and hasn't fixed all of their problems.
Big brain thread only.
I'm SOOOO sad I missed one because I didn't think it through.

yep. get rid of keloqs then bring him back
No, I'm saying YOUR response was too serious for what little we know about what goes on inside a team. They made a clearly unpopular and difficult decision that must've been based on internal dynamics and stuff we know little about.
There's a reason they looked like shit these last 2 weeks, and they wanna make changes now because clearly (according to Ethan's stream right now), the team wasn't meshing well, and they think they still have a shot to make it to playoffs with a change.
Nadeshot is just facilitating this stuff on social media, he isn't directing any changes without the important input from the people he needs to sign off on it. They have a staff and I'm assuming a GM to work this stuff out. I just want to see results. We can maybe blame them and call this shit decision-making when/if it doesn't work out.
This honestly.... is a better team than what they started the group stages with. The only problem is time, but I think they have enough to pull 2 more wins at least. Hopefully they have enough time by the time they play XSET, but idk. This doesn't feel "world-class" yet though, but maybe jcstani is a boss and we never saw it.
I just don't understand why they didn't just bench babyj so they can figure this situation out with a 6-man team (bringing in jcstani and bang and dropping ec1s).
Making these definitive moves seem so short-sighted and risky... What if Hiko's new role doesn't work out and they still need a top-tier sentinel? BabyJ is definitely amazing at his role, and he still has room to grow while there's no guarantee that Hiko will not stay stagnant. Keep both and see what you can do...
My guess is that there were some contract lines that had time-limits on releasing vs benching players since BabyJ said his contract was originally going to be 3 years. I really wonder what the clauses were now
It's not that serious. He's just saying stuff because he cares about competitive play and wants it to be top tier. Clearly he has people who contribute to the decision-making that happened today and idk why, but for some internal reason, they thought this was best.
wait, i think we do the same one!

just a tad 🤏
No fucking way. All that practice and they didn't pick up on these mistakes in time for only 2 matches to get these players dropped??
Also, are they dropped or benched?? Ec1s has literally only been in the country for a month 😅
Edit: I just saw another tweet that said they were released. HOLY SHIT. HOOOOOOOLY
but that was never a problem for them. Icebox has always been their homeground WITHOUT sage, which was cool. Every other experiment they tried hasn't worked except Kay/O w/ Steel.
This was a challenge! 8 words at once usually doesn't stump me this much

Yall are holding on to old narratives. Asuna looks wayyy more comfortable on Jett since he first played it.
yeah, idk why they didn't try to bait the astra stars or other util first with some flashes or drones or darts
First time trying this. It was a real challenge for that last one
