This might sounds like a surprise but some esports make money. Valorant and PUBG are not one of them.

Yes, and that is what they are supposed to do. MiTH would have gone bankrupt years ago if not for the buyout. You know damn well its not sustainable to spend money like a regard every years, getting no returns.

Because it is not making money. And who will buy these teams?

Dude are you regard?

Matthias Meti Beyer :

Today is a very sad day. We’ve decided to pause our Made in Thailand Valorant lineup. It’s a decision we didn’t take lightly, especially after cheering for and believing in this team for so long. However, the game is not what it is supposed to be.
Here’s why:
(1) The game publisher’s investment in this market isn’t enough to sustain a team. The exclusivity deal with a tiny streaming platform has also made the community smaller rather than growing it, which means sponsors are losing interest. Without any existing revenue sharing, the team bears the full burden.
(2) Many other Thai teams have already shut down their Valorant rosters or cut salaries drastically. Locally, the competition now mainly comes from hobby clubs, not larger esports organizations.
We’ve always believed in investing in esports where the publisher is equally committed, but this feels one-sided. I certainly hope that in the future this mind-set changes and we grow this beast together.
To the team, thank you for your hard work. Your recent wins brought so much joy and proved that you’re the best in Thailand, with the potential to compete on the global stage.

// We will continue of course with Made in Thailand Community and we will announce additional way for MiTH very soon.
