Note: This is based purely on Closed Qualifiers with no previous or outside tournaments taken into consideration.
Note 2: I am not a reporter or analyst. This list is purely something I'm doing for the fun of it and is based off my judgement. Feel free to disagree or critique.

  1. Optic - Really strong showing against a team who came into the Closed Qualifiers relatively hot. While Victor did struggle, the rest of the team stepped up and won the series. Expected to take the first seed in Group B, they shouldn't struggle too much with their future opponents. Though currently tied with LG in round differential, I expect them to pull ahead in the next week or two.

  2. 100T - Came into the Closed Qualifiers with something to prove and they showed up in this weeks game. With decisive 13-5 and 13-6 wins to close out the series, 100T beat out the predicted top team in Group A. They currently lead the qualifiers with the highest positive round differential at 15. A rapidly improving team, they could easily take the 1st seed in Group A if they continue to play at this level.

  3. LG - Overall, a good showing in their match vs SEN. After a close Map 1, winning 13-11, and a close loss in Map 2, losing to a 40 kill Tenz 14-16, they dominantly closed the series in a 13-4 victory in Map 3. Bdog led the charge finishing the series 82/49/8, far above the rest of the pack. In the harder of the two groups, this team can easily qualify assuming they continue to play their game and Bdog shows up to each game the way he did this week.

  4. C9 - Thought to be the second best team in the Closed Qualifiers, they struggled in Map 1 vs EG in a close 15-13 win before closing out the series 13-9 in Map 2. While still a strong team, they seemed to struggle vs a weaker team in EG. Regardless, this should be a team that easily qualifies for playoffs and will take the 3rd seed at the lowest, most likely taking seed 2.

  5. XSET - This team came out swinging vs Ghost in Map 1, winning the half 8-4. After a series of unfortunate rounds, they managed to avoid overtime in a 13-11 victory. After going down 0-5 in Map 2, they brought the half back with 7 straight to win the half with a score line of 7-5. After giving up 4 more rounds, they closed out the series 13-9 to win the series 2-0. While strong, the team still has some clear weaknesses that need to be cleaned up.

  6. NRG - A close 2-0 victory against TSM, they showed flashes of their true potential. Barely having to go into overtime in Map 1, they managed to close it out with a 15-13 victory thanks to s0m and tex. Despite going 8/16, hazed showed that he doesn't need to frag out to have impact with his strong play calling and depth in strats. NRG continued their momentum with an 8-4 score line at the half in Map 2. Though they struggled a bit more on the attack, they managed to close out the game 13-10 to win the series 13-10.

  7. EG - They put up a good fight vs C9. While they have some issues to work through before next week, they have the potential to become one of the best in the region. All of their players are consistent fraggers and have the potential to swing rounds. Their strat book seems to be a bit thinner than most teams; however, their adaptability appears to be one of the best among the 12 teams.

  8. Ghost - A good series by Ghost, they still have much to work on. While they have shown they can come back in Map 1, they have also shown their inability to close out games and maintaining leads. After almost achieving overtime in Map 1, they choked in the last round, losing to SMG's and eventually the map in 13-11 fashion. Despite this, they came back hot in Map 2 winning the first 5 rounds straight. However, they proceed to lose the next 7 and lose the map 13-9 after winning just 4 rounds on defense. If they are able to clean these rounds up, they can be a dark horse in the playoffs.

  9. TSM - The first team to pull out Fade, they made some good players with the new agent. After a 6-6 half, Map 1 became a nail biter after another 6-6 half to force overtime. After such a close game, a tough 15-13 loss gave NRG the first point. Going into Map 2, TSM went down 8-4 at the half on their own map pick. Though they managed to bring it close with some dominant rounds, they eventually lost 13-10, subsequently losing the series. They have showed improvement since then Open Qualifiers and have the potential to become another dark horse in the playoffs if they clean up some of their plays and expand their strat book.

  10. Faze - A tough loss to arguably the best team in the tournament. Judging by their match history, they struggle to win when both BABYBAY and dicey don't step up, something neither of them did in this series. Their strat seems to revolve around these two players to frag out, similar to that of Sen and Tenz. A weaker strat book compared to the rest of the teams, Faze still have a strong roster that can compete at a high level.

  11. Sen - From the best in the world to second to last in this list, Sen struggled in this week's matchup vs LG. After a close loss in Map 1, losing 13-11, they were able to bring Map 2 back 14-16. However, this came only from Tenz dropping 40 kills before getting blown out 13-4 in Map 3. If Sen want to make it out of groups, they need to clean things up and start fixing their issues. Winning a map only due to a 40 bomb is not replicable and cannot be their strategy through the rest of the upcoming matches, especially when barely winning the map.

  12. Guard - A favorite going into week 1, they got completely blown out by 100T. Their plays were sloppy and their shots were not hitting. While Sayaplayer did his best to keep them afloat, neT struggled to keep pace going 9/32 in the series. However, this team is full of young talent and has proven time and time again they have what it takes to play against the best. Don't expect them to be at the bottom for much longer.

The Guard isn't bad that bad, 100T is just insane. Also you rate LG too highly imo, EG/LG are lower imo. This is my take on it. Included a C9 w/xeta and without.
1.) Optic
2.) 100T
3.) C9 (with xeta)
4.) XSET
5.) NRG
6.) Guard
6.) C9 (without xeta)
7.) TSM
8.) Faze
9.) EG
10.) Ghost
11.) LG
12.) Sen

this is just a week-by-week thing that only takes into account groups and nothing prior - he says don't expect them to be there for much longer

LG is criminally underrated in majority view - we will see!

This is based purely off of this weeks games. Guard as a team aren't that bad, no; however, they were the only team to get blown out this week. I rated LG this high because they only went 2-1 this week because Tenz dropped a 40 to win an overtime game. This is possibly too high for them but I do believe they are one of the best teams currently. Again, this is just my opinion but this is my reasoning :)

I had trouble placing Faze too. While they did play against the best team this week, I thought, they just didn't put up that much of a fight imo. I put Ghost higher because I thought they showed a lot more potential. Maybe TSM higher was slightly bias but I think they played really well against NRG. Overall, I think both TSM and Ghost played better than Faze this week. Keep in mind this isn't a projection of future games just an analysis of this weeks game :D

Imma be honest I think Optic is just leagues ahead of any other NA team at the moment. I'd be shocked if they dropped a series this qualification.

I'm not convinced NRG should be that high up. They went toe to toe with TSM, a still unproven team. 100T blew out a proven team in Guard so I placed them a lot higher up.

I know but I was more impressed by nrg strategically and their depth. They still have high firepower and strategically they seemed sound. You could feel the impact of the new coaching staff and see their gameplan. 100t was just solid but against a guard that was making so many mistakes. Tsm didn't even do that bad whereas it felt very messy from the guard

As I said at the top, this is based purely on this weeks performance with no other factors in play. I don't think for a second Guard is even close to the worst team in the Closed Qualifiers. However, they were the only team to get blown out this week so they are at the bottom. Again, purely based on this week with no other tournament or outside factors taken into consideration.
