How do extra region slots work?

Does the region that wins masters 2 get an extra slot for their region in champs? Or is that not a thing. I could have sworn they did that last year

Not for this year pretty sure
but It should have stayed atleast for m2 so regions who win the latest masters are awarded for their performance
