21 years old game and still had 1000 tick rate servers, let that sink in.
age has nothing to do with it, it just costs more to keep servers that have higher update rate
do you see csgo servers with 1000 tick?
there is like 10000 times more player in csgo why would they make the servers 1000 tick rate when it would cost like 10 times more, its business
this is not an excuse, you can host your own server
perhaps they just didnt feel the need of making it possible to change tickrate to over 128 as there is barely any difference between 128 and 1000
matters not, this community is huge. But look at 1.6 servers, everyone is 1000 tick, Sureley at least someone would have decided to host one
