"skill ceiling" allegations

now that many upsets from "minor regions" happened, people are trying to justify it saying valorant has reached a skill ceiling. What I find interesting is that this argument is only used to talk about skill in terms of mechanics. But weren't "minor regions" criticized for being "all aim no brain" all along? So if they have catch up, it shouldn't be about aim, but about strats. But this narrative is being constructed that if valorant had a higher skill ceiling that wouldn't happen, which implies major regions are better just because of aim. It sounds very contradictory.
What actually is the case is that valorant have a lower skill ceiling in cs mechanics like spraying, but it compensates with a shit ton of stuff, from raze and jett movement to utilities setups and a shit ton of variables that makes the possible tactics so complex that the ceiling might actually be unreachable.

if you watch matches from last year of these regions compared to this events you can clearly see everything has improved,, teamwork, utility, coordination all of that
skill ceiling has clearly not been reached yet(in terms of utility imo, definitely reached in terms of aiming and movement)

ah that's true, that doesn't fall into the contradiction directly.
but what seems to be the case is that while cs is all about perfecting the fundamentals, valorant is about adaptability and creativity, teams can't depend on metas to be good. Now if that is a good thing or not it's up to you.

Valorant is ever evolving my friend new agent will bring new abilities and new strats this game is more about brain and less about aim this is why teams that were on top last year are not even here in iceland

They are just braindead theories. Even in DOTA, multiple regions can compete on equal footing. If you want something closer, then PUBG. As long as there are opportunities, there will be talents. In fact, the best talents are not even playing the game. Good reflexes and dynamic vision are valuable in many sporting disciplines. For all you know, the best potential Valorant player could be doing Muay Thai right now. There is always someone better.

Talent pool is overrated. It's mostly about how serious the regions are about the game.

you can tell that the "skill cieling" argument is pure bullshit when you actually watch the matches and see how good the SEA and JP aimers are

There also just hasn’t been a single region with a well defined dominant playstyle yet

Valorant still hasn’t matured into there being a correct “meta” way to play the game. It’s still a young enough game where explosive w key teams can be just as good as slow paced utility-bleeding teams

Lol the ceiling hasn't been reach compared this master 1 last year master 1 . All these teams are so much better coordinated and playing lots of mind games/antistratting mid round. It's great to see.
