direct playoff seed actually works against the teams who top their regions imo
riot tried to give a reason for getting 1# in the regional qualifies, but they're underrating how much rhythm matters in a competitive context

yeah, but of all the seeded teams in playoffs, prx was the only one that didn't look shaky
g2, loud and the guard looked pretty shaky and out of their usual forms
Guard is just a bad team, Loud looked good on 2 maps, Liquid just has a good haven
I agree but all of the top seeds were able to win their matches except Guard. It says something
this doesn't tell the full picture though
zeta and liquid are considerably worse than optic and prx
Yeahh
Especially for teams who hadn't play their international event yet (for this, props to LOUD for taking the W). They need the experience in the group stage
kind of being a hindsight harry but i feel like rito shouldve had 2 groups of 6 and have the top seeds one match away from playoffs instead of directly qualifying them for playoffs
but this would mean that iceland would go on a lot longer so idk
Gonna have to agree with this one, gives teams from major regions an unfair advantage against minor regions when it comes to analysis and preparation between matches.
