NA and EU comparison

watching SUR vs BIG i really feal that a tier 1.5/2 team like BIG could probably compete among the best NA teams and would destroy every other region out there.
my point is the TR and CIS regions are getting a death penality having to go through EU to get to any international event, while regions like japan, apac latam and br get a spot for themselves.
since riot cares about regions getting their place at int events, i really think they should do something about this.
What do you guys think?

your right but its not like they can do anything about it. For the game to remain competitive it needs healthy compeition between the regions and if a region has too much representation then this game will naturally fall from the east which they don't want.

when you have a competitive scene you have to find balance between making sure the "best teams" get to compete while also promoting globalization and representation, because in the end esports is just marketing to sell the game itself

riot are doing a great job so far embracing both sides in my opinion, while some numbers could use some tweaking, i think they have a very good idea of what they want the scene to look like and are taking actionable steps to make sure it blooms properly

I don’t think they could compete with the top 4 of NA(The guard, OpTic, Cloud 9, V1) I’d edge xset over them as well.

I think riot should split EU into Turkey, CIS, and EU. 3 spots EU, 2 spots CIS, 1 spot Turkey

and maybe compensate the extra EMEA spot by also giving another spot to Korea, NA, LATAM, or something

As long as riot keeps only using 12-16 team internationals its not gonna happen...

Only when riot increase to 20+ team tournaments can emea be separated. Turkey getting lots of experience playing against eu anyway, when they get separated they will be one of the best minor regions.

How tf are you going to claim anything before the international tourney? Meta has changed drastically, and calling EU on top over NA is just blasphemy.
