The Asian time zone would complicate matters. Here in Brazil we have structures for large events on LAN, it's a good idea.

because EU has the most lenient visa and covid policy. if they held it in the US like in California or something 1 covid case could shut down the entire event same as what happened in NA LCQ

Because of covid and visa restrictions. Champions was meant to be in LA but they had to change it

The reason they hold it in Europe is cause it cost less since they used the venues before and they know what they need to set up the stage and shit. Also Iceland policies for visas and COVID are pretty lenient.

the first part doesn't make a lot of sense, riot games is based in LA and regularly hosts league of legends events there. The visas and covid issues seem to be 100% the problem
