Best MMORPGs to play?

Apparently the biggest is WoW but I don't like the subscription mode, I'm playing Black Desert Online but a friend told me it's just farm. Suggestions?

WOW is the best but I agree subscription is trash, let me pay once for the game

wow is the best, but if u like old school go for old school runescape, and uh ffxiv is ok
