Obviously you're biased but just for the sake of the argument, why would it make sense to give EMEA 5 slots? It would literally just be boring for other regions who would now be relegated to 1 slot each like Korea and Japan, it would make things much more boring for everyone but EMEA.

Giving space to more EMEA teams which are good but not the best (not top-3) gives other weaker regions better chance to beat these top-4/5 EMEA teams and creates better international games

For example, Xerxia is definitely not strong enough to overcome GMB/FNC/FPX, but they might have a good shot at winning G2/TL/GLD

Yes, stacked with mediocre teams. TL looks ass, G2 mediocre, Guild mediocre, FPX inconsistent. The only two good reliable teams are Fnatic and Gambit, maybe FPX aswell if ardiis decide to popoff that day.

C9 lost to 2 EMEA teams at Champions, C9 barely improved (I mean how can you improve in NA?), yet C9 is strong enough to shit on the rest of the region
