American English is shit to understand compared to British English, seriously, it's not enough that the words are all broken up in speech, they still speak as if they had an egg stuck in their mouth. I prefer the British who always speak as if they were having a cup of tea at noon.

I don't know if other Indians feel the same but to me the stereotypical Indian accent shown in some American shows is not even close to Indian accent. I have never heard anyone in India talk like that.
North Indians and South Indians have totally different accents and neither of them talk like this.

British is overrated. Clarity is better than most, but it simply is too slow. Indian accent is American accent on steroids, since they clump up the vowels much closer together, less mouth movements -> more speed. Really hard to listen to in certain circumstances, but it is one of the quicker ones. American Accent is in between. And Chinese/Korean/Japanese Accent is literally just American accent plus some consonant changes and the vowels are a little more closed. Australian accent is um idk.
