Movistar Riders have announced four new additions to their roster following the departure of their coach and players in December.

After a rough beginning of the year bombing out of VCT challengers tournaments as early as the Round of 128 and a Forfeit loss to Swag Silicone in the Round of 256. It seemed dim for the team. As 2021 progressed, Movistar riders began to find some success in tournaments, making it to the Quarterfinals of the VERSUS LEGENDS II, Dreamhack beyond EU and the LVP Rising #3 as well as a Grand finals appearance in the LVP Rising - Finale where eventually they would lose to an ever so strong Acend.

Movistar look to find some success in the 2022 VCT season with the new roster.

Movistar Riders will now be:

I mean before the roster swap. The team's core was ranked #25 in Europe. So if they dropped the players, maybe they picked up some better ones?

They also seem like the SoaR of EU, build talent and then they move on to better (~~BONECOLD~~ KOLDAMENTA* and Kiles) like (Cryocells and Zander)

Couple things, they disbanded because the team was broken and the players had offers. But Lucas it’s a great pick up, huge fanbase in Spain, plus really close friend with Mixwell who is quite envolved with Movistar as he was there for a very good time a Rachel (Mixwell girlfriend is one of the managers) so they have that part now.

They have a low budget but I really trust what they are doing

And well, Bonecold has never been on MRS, it was Kiles and Koldamenta as it was a full Spanish roster, and let me add we are both way better than Cryo and Zander

That is my mistake. I meant koldamenta. I don’t really keep up w them as they kinda fly below the radar most times but i’m glad to know that something worked.

I agree with kiles being better. idk abt kold, but we will see how the season goes!

Well, Kiles is out of the discussion we is a world champion, and well, Kolda too, literally made it to the semifinals of Berlin, Zander and Cryo havens proved anything yet even if they have the potential to do it

Kiles is a top-tier player no doubt. They should've lost to Gambit but that's another story. I feel like the G2 run at Berlin was like a honeymoon phase (evident at LCQ and Red Bull Home Ground) and it will be interesting to see how they perform in the upcoming season.

Cryo and zander may have not proven anything but they were also on a T2 team. (similar to MRS) Give them this year and they will be top players to talk about.

Good job with the writing

They have trialed many of the players that are in the other teams of the Spanish vrl and Lucas has decided to stay with this one, and I wanna trust there is a reason other than the lack of budget, we’ll see

i think instead of adding 4, they added 5. because rias had to go through the tryouts also as his contract ended the same time the rest of the team did i think. so its just like when draken rejoined guild i guess. nice post btw, keep it up

I’m not too sure on the contract overlap. I was just going based off the fact of him never being “released” but you could be 100% right on that part.
