once it's franchised, everything will go downhill
average skill will be lower thus the games will be boring
pros will steal paychecks even more
t2 teams objectively better than t1 teams will be gatekept by the system
not many formats, most leagues will prob use a single format consisting of knockouts or points+knockouts

rn? yeah, but once the game gets franchised, big teams won't need to risk themselves by buying unproven talent to keep up with the competition, they'll keep the same old players
it's weird because when you think about it, rookies would be only helped by the system since big teams would have no risks at using them, but that's not what happens in franchised leagues, they merely cycle the same old players because it's safer and usually more profitable
