Nobody is sad because they all get paid half a Million Doller anyway. That's not how good Sports should be in my opinion. Imagine Champions League Top 16 every single Team gets a CL Winner Cup and the same amount of Prize Money. Without Drama and people feeling high pressure it's kinda not fun in the end.

Why would it be a good thing for the players to be sad in the first place? I don't understand this reasoning. The fans are definitely sad. I couldn't give less of a fuck that they are getting the bag when they get knocked out of the tournament; I want to see them play more!
Sure, the players may not be AS sad, but I'm pretty confident not getting to compete any longer hurts, especially after putting in hours of work.
A seeding game sucks because it feels that the teams aren't trying, because there's nothing on the line and trying would hurt their chances in future events.
An actual match's outcome matters because it decides which team is better. Which players were better. Whose hard work, time, and strategy triumphed. The reward of the match does matter somewhat, but the glory is what should matter the most to fans, at least. To the players, yes, the prizing matters.
However, the best players are trying to win, no matter what. To prove that they are the best, not to win money.
lame. survival of the fittest. that's what i want to see when i hear major lan event. i don't care about japanese valorant or whatever. i would rather not have them in champions because they make it look so lame. crazy raccoons was now 3 times in a row like a free win ticket in groups and teams who make it masters or champs pray to get them in their group. people say riot is not merging some asian countries because they want a japanese contender or stuff like that. come on man. a major is meant to be brutal, a lot of drama, a lot of sweat, a lot of real hard work. only NA vs EU is kinda watchable because it's something personal between those regions.
