what's happening in latam

thinking about it, latam, as it stands now, has no future. there are many teams with so much talent that, unfortunately, lack organization.
beyond Leviatán Academy, OXÜ (Oxen x KRÜ), or 9z Team, there are no more opportunities to succeed in Valorant. a lot of talent is being wasted right now.
it's unfair that everything depends on whether Leviatán or KRÜ signs you or not.

what do you think?

I think leviatan is ruining the latam scene and should invest in LATAM players not NA rejects

true, I think the same, but it's a matter of putting yourself in Leviatán's shoes.
it's hard to stay in franchises because you need to win to stay, and Leviatán wants the easy way out: signing superstars.

LATAM has the potential for superstars though. NA and LATAM suffer because of lev because the good NA talent is more spread out and now theres not enough opportunities for LATAM talent

true, there's some superstars like keznit, mazino, kingg, shyy...
but the latam orgs don't give more chances for other players
for example, when Kru signed MTA (Motita), it was super good for the scene, but people still complained that he didn't have the level... he ended up showing his true level in champions and was the essential player to qualify us for the champions again.
orgs need to rely more on new talent, and not play it safe with the same old guys who literally rotate every year.

all of AK players are good and found teams mostly t2 but AK shouldve won ascension. I think this year its LOS GRANDES and probably dante and all insane latam players get picked up hopefully by t1

#12

yea, dantedeu5 is a KRÜ player, he's playing in the academy associated with KRÜ, so when keznit leaves krü, they'll have dante for themselves.

also adverso is insane, the m80 and tsm game just tilts my head man they made so many mistakes. they should all be in t1

Adverso totally earned that spot in VCT, the other AK guys were also excellent but let's keep in mind that Adverso did all that crazy stuff being IGL and starting again in the competitive, since if I'm not mistaken he took some time off for his studies.

Leviatán academy, Oxü, 9z and Shinden, we lack one more organization for Nottingham but what else can be done? As of now, the system isn't sustainable but if Riot really goes for 6 partnered teams + 6 ascension teams maybe more organizations will invest in the scene.

If a latam team succeeds on the Ascension tournament we would have 15 slots for players in VCT, assuming Leviatan goes back to full latam roster, that sounds as good as we can get in terms of representation.

tbh they should learnt english so they could also play anywhere else besides Kru or Lev

true, keznit is learning english, in general, kru players have a decent english but that's what we're mainly fighting for, to have more 100% latam representations.

i would love to see more latam represantation and imo the region has so many raw talents that esp teams like EG or C9 could get alot from these like young cracked players also i think NA players are more expensive in general

i would love too, but we still don't have a guarantee that if our regular players leave, we'll have replacements, based on what we've seen more than anything.
for 5 years, the same 10 latam players have been on rotation xD

Tbf adverso did deserve to come back to t1 but yeah I do see your point it's not like krü for example is bad enough to need to rebuild so they haven't changed majorly it's not really krü's fault

#34

yea i got your point, but there's is a real problem in latam talents

Xolos wins ascension and Xolos will not meet the franchise criteria, same thing that happened with The Guard. MARK MY WORDS

It's because you have 2 slots for some reason I'm sure na is very much willing to sacrifice one of their orgs for you

there are many teams/organizations that are too lazy to even watch them play. lmao
like furia, C9, old mibr, 2g, sometimes eg, 100t and loud

Yet LEV was one of the first latam teams to have an academy team investing in the long term. What is killing Latam is not the change from LEV to an international roster, is the fact that Riot has the league in NA making it way more difficult for latam players to have good scrims/trials if you are from South America and not having an easy way to make quick changes mid season without having to sign an American player. Look how Kru had to sign Heat last year cause he already had his Visa and did not have to wait 3 months between trialing someone from LATAM then paying 10k USD for the working visa and lastly wait for it to be issued.

The only way VCT LEV is hurting latam is by not having a "guaranteed" latam player spot like BR teams mostly do for their teams, where they only sign BR players and even then, who says next year they dont come back to a core latam team as this year the best latam player (Dantedeus) wasnt 18 yet and the other players did not meet the expectations.
