Because they came from minor regions doesn't mean they are tier 2 :))). Valorant Esport only one year. there isn't any solid tier1 tier 2 team yet
This lol ppl already ranking teams when its a 1 year old esports. There's a lot of variance in the beginning because no one is good enough to dominate the game yet like Astralis in Csgo or Korean/chinese teams in League.
Imagine losing to Thai players that get paid with baht instead of dollar like NA players
because not every tier-2 team stay on tier-2, people improve (except sentinel)
More motivation to get better due to salaries.
Just look at BR and CIS players in CS.
Same thing will happen in Valorant
CIS teams have always been good since fucking 1.6, navi literally won 4 majors in 1.6 with Zeus/Edward/markeloff/cen9/starix squad, navi were consistently in major top 8 in csgo together with some other cis teams, it's just that until recently they never got that top 1 spot.
i rooted for na teams but them losing doesnt mean the tourney is bad you know it's actually what makes things fun because it's unexpected af (though i was heartbroken seeing sen and vs lose ;-;)
Never fucking underestimate any region, this is about the progress and the hard work of the teams, if determinated team are not qualified to Playoffs, that's means that they aren't the best in the world in this year.
Honestly this is the best tournament of the year for me not too many games have been blowouts and they are all close and exciting
