tldr: anyone outside of g2 and vit winning would be an underdog story, you could honestly arrange 4,5,6 and 7 however you like, this is shaping up to be a great tournament

1: G2 self explanatory, they honestly look like one of two best teams itw rn, expect to see them in the grand final
2: VIT ' '
3: SEN the changes seem to have finally clicked, this team has the potential to be far better than last year
4: DRX looking good, how is free1ng this good
5: EDG they looked shaky at times, but if they hit another great patch of form like last year they're set for a great tournament
6: T1 they're pretty much on the same level as the two (maybe three) above them imo
7: TRACE looked good when beating edg, looked awful when losing to them, maybe that says more about edg than them but could sneak in a great run
8: TL once is by chance twice is a coincidence thrice, four and five times is a pattern. i will be rooting for this team, but surely this can't be happening right?

Last year people also said the same thing about how Sen and KC are the 100% favorite in Madrid. Sen did win the tourney... But KC only win against FPX .

Im betting the same thing will happen but reversed. G2 crumbles, Vit does good.

And people are really underestimating EDG

Vit: Strong Map Pool and players player Quality speaks for themselves
EDG: They will be in Champs Form at Bangkok
TRACE: Team is Really good, Should of beat EDG but got Performance Anxiety
SEN: Lowkey can win Bangkok if they dont get an unlucky draw and can warm up into the event
DRX: Always 5-6
TL: Patitec and nAts are big Tourney players and TL has a fast Improvement Curve, Could be higher
G2: NO Aura, shit MAP POOL, Wont make Play offs
T1: Dont trust their coaching staff after what Meteor said (No Faker, No Win)

EDG won the most difficult tournament 16 teams: meaning EDG won the most difficult teams (HIGHEST DIFFICULTY) and to win an 8 teams turney (EASIER DIFFICULTY) would be considered an underdog story? #1 meaning 8 team masters by EDG is a lot tougher than winning champs.

This implies the difficulty in champs. In 8 teams swiss format, GenG could dodge SEN in lowers (cause u can't vs same team again in swiss) meaning being in group of death (champs) is a LOT harder than being in masters. Champs > Masters

as if the number of teams determines the quality of the competition

16 teams champs means the possibility of being stuck in group of death determine the quality of competition of being in swiss stage of 8 teams master.
