smoggy had better stats, and chichoo had the highest stats by far. Chichoo saved EDG from losing to LEV in upperfinals, making them reach grandfinals rested and with a 2 map ban advantage against Team Heretics, a series that ended up being 3-2, 13-10 last map. KangKang was GF mvp but both chichoo and smoggy were way more consistent throughout the whole tournament

Smoggy was NOT consistent. He farmed the early groupstage and fell off heavily in playoffs. Chichoo and kk is the only one I would consider for MVP. You are right that Chichoo carried and was more consistent throughout the entire champs tournament. But KK did 4 generational worth of carries in the final and broke a record to win that game. I value that extremely heavily. I wouldnt mind if chichoo got the mvp, I just think KK equally deserved it for that single greatest performance

No, kickoff MVP was KangKang, but Nobody played better this Finals, thats why I wrote Kickoff "Finals" MVP above. The past 2 events EDG played, Champs and Kickoff, the MVP awards should have been like this in my opinion:

Champions MVP: Chichoo (but I understand giving it to KK because of record break, even if i dont agree)
Champions GF MVP: KangKang

Kickoff MVP: KangKang
Kickoff Finals MVP: Nobody

Thats how i think it should have been, but Riot just said fuck it and gave everything to KK because of Aura 😂

Im pretty sure Riot stated that Champs 24 was the first time they were giving a MVP award for the whole tournament, thats the bracelet they gave to kangkang after EDG won. That was not only finals MVP, it was MVP of the whole thing, the overall MVP of all series played at champs. That was the first time Riot did that in VCT
