Not really, but hear me out.
In the current state of the game, they're fine, it does an alright job of making postplants less spam oriented, at least at the ranked level. However, the problem comes with the motivation behind these changes, riot is merely using this change as an alternative to fixing their (already questionable) site design.
These changes are good, in the short tern, but bad for the long term health of the game, because they will only go on to perpetuate the creation of more sites that are merely plant destinations, not places to hold down following the plant.
The changes are good, and shouldn't be reverted, and riot is actively trying to make edits to map design as they're rotated out (usually), but I can't help but think that the site problem won't be fixed as a result of the ping changes. Would it even be worth it to try to rectify all the poorly designed sites at this stage in the game's life? Or do we just move on from here and hope that map design improves naturally?
I'm not sure, but I've just seen too much discourse treating these ping changes like god's work, when I really think that they are going to end up causing, not fixing, more problems in the future.
