The reason why NRG and SEN failed (Although NRG still have a chance)

Unfamiliar opponents : SEN beat GenG, because they know them and have played them before. But MITH and R.Lofi proved to be out of syllabus for both teams.
Failed to adjust and become creative: FNS and John underestimated their opponents bigtime and didn't try being creative on how to approach.
MITH and R.Lofi brought their A games : They where on point on what they were doing. NRG was under prepared on Pearl, while SEN choked leads.

MITHs comp on pearl is literally bad, one vod review and it would be an annihilation for any team. gekko is so easy to counter, it just caught them off guard with the vyse and gekko, they didn't know to defend, others maps they just chocked HUGE leads.

nrg looked lost that's fine. sen just choked. and the calling on pearl was questionable. i wouldn't say all of it are excuses but you have to take in the fact this literally is rapid lofi and MITHs champs, people will watch this event and they will gain more clout and more advocacy for tier 1. while sen and nrg were looking to focus on different things, obviously they tried to win, but you know sen could have called a timeout when they lost 3-4 rounds in a row to mith after 12-6, but they didn't. everyone wants something different from the offseason. you have to factory in that.

The real reason why NRG lost is FNS was managing the agent crashies plan thus had no time for prep . Every victory comes at a cost .
