Riot has always been like this with NA. They think NA is at the same level of EU on League of Legends. I think it is to create hype for their NA fanbase, where riots reside.

I was thinking of riots directives towards E-sports in general. They like to create hype around NA. Probably going to call Bjergsen best midlaner in the world, or in the west again, after one year of retirement. While, he hasn't been a top 5 west midlaner for ages.
