they werent trying to replace derke tho, derke has a high salary and they wanted a cheaper duelist who would have a very good performance but i dont think he will be derke 2.0

Wdym cheaper? Kaajaks buyout should be pretty high since he was the best player in apex. And I don’t think his salary low because why would he leave just after ascension win?

APK buyouts are a bit high I think but it's probably still much cheaper to sign him over Derke in the long run.

Also because of how the system is, as a player the objectively best thing to do when you ascend is to leave to join another team. You're only guaranteed one year now and there's no point in taking that chance (even if you believe you're good enough to not get relegated) when you have an opportunity for a longer contract elsewhere

which buyout you think was higher derke or kaajak, also which salary you think was higher derke (2 trophies and several regional ones) or kaajak (1 ascension) just by selling derke to vit they won probably twice as much as kaajak´s value
