I get your point but like I've been tracking Derke's profile who's been only playing rarely recently, often with Sayf(mostly DMs), trials would've been completed long ago.
Trials with Less would've been much later which according to games with Sayf must've got Derke in it.
Idk if VIT's got the money, if yes, it's a no brainer move.(Unless FNC wants to be a dick)

He is playing with Sayf because he wants to play with Sayf and is hoping that FNC will let him. But be honest, if you're FNC and NRG is offering you as much money as VIT, why would you sell him to Vit instead of NRG? The problem is that Derke needs to agree and that is where the flight is and why the deal hasn't gone through for either side

Ok so explain this-
Why would 2 pro players play DMs and then not play ranked(obv warm up for trials)
And that has been the case multiple times.
Won't be surprised if Less trialed with Derke in team as well

BTW what I can conclude from these matches is that, Derke trials must've been concluded long ago. Afterwards he must've played to trial other players for team.
Also derke said on stream that wait 2-3 months for any news(has to be some contract thing).

Just trying to put up some speculations that could make sense
