Valorant Skins Theory

There seem to be three main rank sections when it comes to skin purchases: Iron to Gold, Platinum to mid-Ascendant, and high Ascendant to Radiant.

In the Iron to Gold section, you'll find the most expensive and newest skins because players in this range are often new to the game. Valorant tends to give them updated shops with the latest skins to entice them.

In the Platinum to mid-Ascendant range, players are more focused on ranking up, so they’re less likely to buy skins. They often wait until they reach higher ranks, feeling that they need to prove themselves first before investing in premium cosmetics.

At the highest ranks (high Ascendant to Radiant), players already see themselves as top-tier, and many are likely professionals or highly skilled players. As a result, they may be less motivated to buy skins, as they feel they’ve already reached the pinnacle of the game.

So, if you find that your shop is always bad and you never get good skins, try creating a new account and grinding again. You'll likely get more frequent insane shops with much better skin options.
