Riot should merge JP and KR into one region for the VCT 2022 and label it the 'East Asia' region
JP nearly has more T1 Korean players than KR itself at this point, with nearly every Japanese team (aside from Zeta and Reject) choosing to run their max of two Korean players

Btw, here's a list of notable Korean players already on Japanese teams:

I think creating a new East Asia region would benefit both scenes and help them grow in different ways (KR gets more viewership, JP gets better players)

can't really do due to huge ping diff SA +SEA imagine team from pak playing with pinoy team with 150 ping on hk and 100 ping on sg server

Maybe Riot could do the SEA playoffs in two phases:

Phase 1: Same format as the normal SEA playoffs (Round Robin with 16 SEA teams), top two teams from each group advance

Phase 2: Combine the 8 advancing SEA teams and the top 2 SA teams (from their own circuit) for a 10 team double elimination playoff bracket, which would be on LAN

Obviously this couldn’t currently happen with Covid, but I think it could work if things lighten up in 2022

How many regions does SA have in VCT? If the regional tournaments would still be played online, I don't think they should merge. Plus there are too many countries already in SEA.

Nah, It would be another EMEA then, too many countries.

Better to keep this region split and RIOT should consider to giving SA 1 direct slot next year.

i want Rito to make champions a at least 2 week event so larger the fan base , higher stakes we need at-least 24 slot next vct

I guess this Champions is gonna be their deciding factor to what will rito do in 2022.
Hope this champions is a banger so rito could improve the next vct to comply with what fans want.
