Things SEN needs to do to win champs, from looking at the forums people are ranking them last. (I disagree)
1) Map pool, while I don't think SEN map pool is as bad people are making it out to be, the key factor that will make them win champs is definitely Sunset/Abyss, Sunset because many teams might just ban Lotus even though EDG won against them (SEN played very sloppy vs them), and many teams don't mind playing Sunset as they are also best maps for LEV/TH/EDG. Abyss because they are the only team to not show their Abyss at all so I would give the adv to them. (Surprise map pick)
2) Win more pistol rounds, my god it was painful watching EDG/FNC games to see both series only win 1/4 pistols. It just goes to show how good they are at rifle rounds but 4 rounds is the big difference to close out maps. They only got stomped was vs EDG on Sunset which they had no chance winning.
3) Stop playing retake simulator (All the time), I know retaking is the meta but it shouldn't be 5v5 retakes on a map like Sunset B main. You have to kill at least 2 guys to make the retake possible, less spam/utility means easier time to defuse and spam back at like 2-3 guys. Everytime I've seen teams win retakes vs B main spam it's because they aren't in a 5v5, and it's a lot easier to retake 2v3 than 5v5 imo. This is only a real issue on Sunset for them, and Bind tbh. That's why their Lotus defense is so good, they have very good flood timings + they do play on site to get 1-2 kills if they can.
4) Hit a site sooner, no offense to Fnatic but they played Lotus defense horrible and it should been 8-4 for them because SEN was hitting sites with like 20 seconds left. Johnqt needs to change the pace of the game, every team knows you do the same default every rounds so they won't expect a fast C hit or fight A rubble. Like ik Johnqt can call better than this, i've seen him do it all the time.
5) Play with confidence, there are some rounds were SEN just looks unsure what to do, and imo the best thing they can do is just take gunfights. Tenz is one of the best angle holders ik, (a little bit of glaze) he needs to just hold that angle down and win out that gunfight (it was never a 50/50 gunfight for him, he wins like 80/20 of the time), they give up too much space on defense. Just because playing retake doesn't mean you can't hold some space to get a cheeky 1 kill and backing off. It makes it harder for teams to contact up if you hold an off angle so aggressively how he used to. That was the reason they beat NRG on Sunset. This also helps bait out utility to make retakes easier as well, that's something I think TH did very well against them in Madrid on Sunset.
