The misconceptions about China as a region

I see these threads all the time, flaming teams for losing to Chinese teams or even betting odds where Chinese teams are heavy underdogs. Whether it is Lev losing against Trace or PRX losing against EDG or Sen against EDG, we talk about it like these are not genuine teams.
China as a region has developed massively this one year, in a rate way faster than it did literally anywhere else. It's always fun watching them.
It's not just a problem with fans, even teams underestimate the way China plays which I think is shitty. China is no more KangKang and tier 2 players. They have talent. Yes, the depth is not as heavy as it is in other regions, you don't expect it to. But their top teams are seriously good.
So let's just stop thinking EDG as just a Chinese team but as a first seed and a threat. I am saying it again, China is here to upset teams and their fans and they are doing it fascinatingly.

I think ppl see chinese team and just think they all suck. Its true that the region still the weakest and the majority of the teams have bad fundamentals. But they didn't see the form EDG has been in since the roster changes and during the cn playoffs. I would never count EDG out. They're basically the pioneers of the chinese regions and have been since last year.

EDG has yet to face NRG in their prime. And until that happens, China will forever be known as a a minor region

I watched every top tier made by Plat chat or Analysts streamer. They always put China on the bottom of the tier, even if they make a good run or bad they just saw a China as a minor region and that's very frustrating. They don't see the region as a competitive region and not even giving a chance to view some match.

Once prx said about edg they are scrim god's in asia. then prx alex said to chet whyzy crushed them with dudge in split.

most of the analysts are either American or European and they don't watch much Chinese league. then they call it minor region.
same thing they did to Apac in the past. they just bias ass holes and nobody cares them

The big problem was they never showed up at internationals until now, they always bombed out without making it far at all. Now that they showed they can actually make deep runs and upset top tier teams, theyll be respected much more

You guy cant even know that the biggest haters of edg are some of Chinese.They are not only underrating but also HATING.Really cringe.So happy to see foreign EDG fans supporting EDG even CN region.

whenever a team loses to CN everyone tells that team to disband or that they played horribly. i rarely see any posts congratulating the CN team and acknowledging them for playing well
