He didn't get subbed out. He was a temporary sub, not even registered with the team as a permanent sub. They just reverted back to the original squad as they have contracts.

Swapping players out like that mid season would cost Heretics a good chunk of money - Money that is hard to come by in eSports, which is a money-bleeding industry at the moment still.
