Chet offered that he will pay some of his money for the buyout. NRG gave him a budget for roster building and NRG couldn’t afford what he’s asking for. Chet wanted them so bad that he’s willing to pay some of his money. Sure they can just say “we can’t let you do that” but won’t Chet just complain then how he offered to pay but nrg didn’t let him do that when they fail for the year? Like look at Potter she was willing to get players on the budget she was given. I’m not defending NRG I’m just saying it’s more complicated than “ohhh nrg took chet’s money to pay for players instead of fully paying it” you feel me?
