GE should give up on doing well in any matches. and get like an Indian Tenz and clout roster. So they can sell merch and Rushindra sinha can feed his family.
Bruh do some research, even the Indian government, Narendra Modi, already acknowledged the “huge potential in this area”13 in 2020 when he called on the gaming industry to “lead the international digital gaming sector by developing games that are inspired from Indian culture and folk tales.” In order to promote the animation, visual effects, gaming and comic (AVGC) sector in India, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has recently formed a task force14 to facilitate career pathways into gaming and create a world-leading talent pool. It will recommend a national curriculum framework for higher studies in these areas. Esports is set to experience rapid growth in India over the next three years. The Federation of Electronic Sports Associations India (FEAI)16 will soon launch a policy paper outlining a framework for the development of esports in the country. The organization predicts that the growth in the esports will be fueled by an electronic version of cricket – currently India’s most popular sport. Vaibhav Dange, founding president of FEAI, said: “Cricket presents a massive opportunity for growth of esports in Commonwealth nations. We are working closely with international bodies such as the British Esports Association. We want India to develop its own e-gaming ecosystem and compete at global tournaments with the best of the world.”
India recorded about 455 million online gamers in the year 2023. This was an eight percent growth from the previous year and is likely to reach over 491 million by 2024. About 90 million of these gamers reportedly paid for online games that year. Obviously the numbers are not big and tumble down further as we look at pc gamers but even with 50 million or so players which is approximately 10.9% of 455 million, it already becomes one of the biggest fields for valorant playerbase, considering that Riot is trying to attract more Indians in Valorant it is not a bad investment. But thats my take your views may differ and I would like to hear them as well.
Brother it isn't about players, it's about the money, always has been. But for you I will summarize it so you won't have to read much:-
India's online gaming market, with 455 million gamers in 2023 (an 8% growth from 2022), is projected to reach over 491 million by 2024. Despite a smaller subset of lets say about 50 million PC gamers (10.9%), this still represents a significant potential player base for Valorant, making Riot's focus on attracting Indian players a sound investment.
Bleed case is more of a management issue as the players were not managed well. If they managed players well bleed could have made more money from getting Yay in the team by creating a strong fanbase, selling merchandise and creating a hype around the world as Yay is famous all over the valorant community. This would bring alot of money and a strong loyal fanbase which would bring more investment into the team. Coming to India people in Riot or in Indian valorant scenario never wanted to built a strong great team it was always about getting more players, expanding the players count on the platform and make them buy stuff.Thats why India was given a slot and China a whole region winning a trophy is just a +1 here and btw half of 1.4 billion is 700 million and that is alot as well.
