Controller Layout Preferences

OHAYO SEN CITY!
I need your help vlr. Im gonna buy a controller with hall effect sticks and triggers. I have the option of buying either the playstation varaint or an xbox varaint in terms of layout.
For context, I dont play a lot of controller games, but I did play fifa and used a playstation controller mostly.
I'd like to know your preferences and especially ones who used both layouts of xbox and playstation, which one you prefer and feel is the better choice.
