how to upgrade my setup

i got a prebuilt computer over 3 years ago and it was good for me for quite some time, but recently my frames have been mid asf in val and it can drop as low as 100 in chaotic moments and peaks at like 170, usually in the middle of that range

i have AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6-Core Processor
and 2060 super nvidia graphics card

is this sub optimal fps fitting for those parts? or am i doing something wrong which causes my fps to be lower than what it should be
are these parts outdated?

should i upgrade my whole computer by building or buying one or should i just get some new parts?

any advice is appreciated cause ive never looked much at this stuff and i am more and more feeling that my setup is holding me back from hitting new peaks

also if my pc is outdated and i wanna just buy a prebuilt where should i do that
