the xenophobia and vitriol from chinese fans are getting out of hand. the treatment of non chinese players during shanghai is horrendous for either things out of their control or taken out of context due to nuances in language.

they better start leaving the poor kid alone. if anyone has followed zekken, you know he does not have a overtly malicious bone in his body to spread hate like the chinese fans are making it out to be.

i really hope riot stop hosting events in china if the blind patriotism and nastiness is going to continue. it’s obnoxious at this point.

I remember couple years ago when I was walking in Lygon street, Melbourne ( at dominant Jewish area ) some guy in a Hitler costume jumped in front of me screaming the n word ( I'm Asian btw ). Then another guy suddenly hit his head saying "wrong race you cunt". I was confused for a sec but laugh it off because of how weird it is. Heck even on Sydney server you will hear people screaming the n word from time to time.

They won't stop hosting in China, Riot is owned by Tencent, it's arguably an even bigger audience than NA or EMEA. League of legends doesn't really have this issue as the EMEA and NA teams usually just get stomped so there's not too much coverage for them.

NA/EMEA content in Valorant is the most watched so there'll be a lot of incidents like this where things get falsely translated and NA/EMEA players get flamed by chinese/korean fans.

"I'm a China hater" does not mean what they think it means.
