heaven's feel movies were the DEFINITION of "carried by animation"
I definitely wouldn't consider it a good adaptation, especially considering how hard it fell off as the movies went on
You can not like it but how is the first one even close to the third one bruh the movies clearly get better sequentially
Just feels like a compromise to the vn as a whole, focused too much on this love story that is only a small part of the whole story.
didn't like how Shirou was just "handed" over a way to win
didn't like how Shirou's whole idea of morality and idealism was completely discarded unlike in the other two routes
and after all the plot armor in the trilogies, we get a sappy, perfectly happy conclusion where all consequences of the sacrifices are completely cast away.
it just felt really emotionless when the previous two did a great job at setting up (what should have been) a great third movie.
how could i forget about clannad💀
i actually enjoyed the anime more it was so good

is that the vn was the absolute creme of the crop, simply mind-bending experience
