the egg has lost the plot again on the recent plat chat.

the discussion around PRX is deranged. i urge you to go through the madrid games and check stats. monyet had 2 good maps on raze the entire tournament and had at least 7 bad maps on it where he effectively bottom fragged. it's like everyone saw the split game against sen and changed their mind. they forget he basically singlehandedly threw the lotus game in the same series. that's the only time he's shown good raze play this year and there's no reason to believe it can be repeated. btw he still hasn't gone positive in a bo3/bo5 all year.

saying jing's not an upgrade over monyet is incredibly braindead. imo they could still run him on smokes and bench mindfreak since he's been pretty good on omen and put forsaken on raze but that's debatable.

achilios says it at 17:00-18:00 and egg sorta agrees and continues glazing after.

he does 100% say jing is not an upgrade and monyet looked as good as jing on raze at the end of the tournament which is an insane statement.

Yeah but remember that Monyet is still a fetus in that roster, Jinggg been playing in PRX for decades now so he is more used to how they play, used to their W gaming style in comparison to Monyet who haven't fully adapted. Obviously Jinggg is an upgrade but if Monyet had more time with PRX, we wouldn't see as many braindead moments like he had on Madrid

Did anyone remember that Something is shitty at his first 2 month career in PRX?
Also Monyet has different value from Jinggg
I think when he played in GE he realize that he is better as controller than duelist and lost confidence to play exactly aggresive without trolling entry/too cautious to entry.
If PRX need double duelist and no double controller, they need Jingg-Something
If PRX need double controller, they need Monyet-Mindfreak

i agree with the conclusion but i think something was really good from the start (except like one game vs drx) and basically top fragged in most of his first 10 games. you can see on his vlr page.

his Jett in Ascent looks horrible but PRX has time to play with mid-low tier of Pacific for 5 weeks before playoff to sync their teamwork in W gaming

Jingg probably the most overrated player of all time.

the team was just as good without him, placing top 4 like they did so many times with jingg.

I do think he is better than monyet, but not enough to move the needle.

Ofc people would want jinggg back, dude is the best raze itw, doesn't help that monyet played most raze maps in Madrid and was losing the easiest duels or dying by trying to play like jingg, bro f0rsaken even played raze for the first time in years to accommodate moneyt. Monyet is a good player but is just not suited for prx style.

I think it was mostly because of Jinggg's inability to flex onto smokes like Monyet. This can potentially nerf PRX in this current double controller meta on a few maps.

that's true but i feel like it's a pretty common sentiment that he improved drastically throughout the tournament and would be a good raze player in stage 1 and i just don't think there's any evidence to support that.
