and that is why RIOT made the right decision to use LAN servers. now the teams still can play in the hotel room. if it was LAN servers they can't even play the match.

Yes they can. For example IEM fall in CS the entire group stage was played from hotel rooms but was still LAN just not on stage. Stupid decision from riot and low iq decision making. Even if players werent at the hotel they can still use a vpn to play on the same network from a different location (on lower ping however)
